This mini chopper is a little gem
Advantages: good for small quantities, small to store, cheap Disadvantages: none so far
This is a mini chopper which is really useful if you just want to make a small quantity of something like pesto or houmous, or just chop an onion.
It is inexpensive (I paid £19.99 for mine) and doesn't take up too much space in the kitchen. Its maximum capacity is 350ml or 150g.
It has two speeds, though I must admit I don't use the lower speed much. It's not that powerful - it has a 300w motor, but it chops things like carrots really evenly, without ... ...nice design with a cute curvy bit where the motor is and the bowl bit is one of those rounded ones. It is a bit of a faff getting the bowl back in after you've taken it out, which is a bit annoying. The blade is stainless steel and you can put the bowl in the dishwasher.
I've got a one year old and when he was weaning it was brilliantly useful for whizzing stuff up; it also chops herbs in seconds and, though I don't think you could use it instead ...

Chopin' Madness!
Advantages: quick, easy to clean and store Disadvantages: a bit loud at times (thus the loss of star rating)
I got this little chopper in Debenhams during one of their sales. With the discount I paid £12. The chopper is currently priced at £14.09 in Argos. The chopper was labelled as a Delia Cheat and looked just like a more expensive one I had been looking at. Bargain, bought and brought home! Thankfully this chopper is small so storage isn't an issue. It fits under the sink next to the baking tins. As we have a small terraced house so storage is always ... ...reason I purchased the mini chopper was to easily mash and chop up foods for the baby. It's really convenient to make our dinners and take a bit out for the baby and throw it into the chopper for him. Means I am able to give him home cooked foods fast and easily. With older kids and afterschool activities to get to any time saver is welcomed with open arms! Another good use was found when I was making quesadillas. I had been baking earlier in the ...

The ultimate chopper is not so great.
Advantages: Good if your cooking for one. Disadvantages: Cleaning is difficult and you can only fit small amounts into the chopper.
When I bought the ultimate chopper I thought to myself 'great, no more spending 15 minutes prep-ping my vegetables before cooking' but I was wrong. It only saves me about 5 minutes chopping time. I couldn't fit a large amount into the chopper and you have to chop the veg first before then putting them into the ultimate chopper - which I feel defeats the point really. Also it was a bit frustrating that certain bits of the vegetables still were not ... ...it myself. I also felt cleaning was quite difficult also - especially cleaning around and under the blade. In my opinion if your just cooking for 1 then this product is good and will save you a lot of chopping time - but if you have a big family then its better to get out the good old fashion chopping board and knife. ...

Chops like the Tv says
Advantages: chops onions very tiny and mashes ice Disadvantages: can over mush things and burn out
I love the ultimate chopper although I have to admit that I did burn two out. Whether this was because we lived in a pub and used it to make cheese and onion sandwichesd every week i don't know - it did take a hammering, but the time I had was good. If you have seen the Tv ads, then this does do as it says. An onion is chopped tiny, it does crumble cheese, biscuits, nuts etc. You do have to be careful not to over chop things - lettuce can turn to ... ...you can risk is overflowing through the seams so to speak. It does really depend what you want it for as to how you can rate its suitability. Although I loved using it, I have found that the attachment on my handblender can do the same job so it isn't unique. It is a gadget that some will love and some will hate. i would, after having two and now having a multi blender, not really say it is worth paying over £10 for if you could get a mutli use blender ...

Moulinex multi moulinette - Kitchen magic!!
Advantages: Simple to use, value for money. Disadvantages: can omly take small quantities.
I have owned a moulinex multi moulinette (AT71) for several years and would say it was the most useful kitchen gadget I have ever owned. It is small compact gadget which takes very little space. I use it for all my chopping and blending jobs when preparing food. It holds up to 0.5 litre of fluid, up to 16oz dry ingredients or aprox 2 cups. Great for making breadcrumbs for your gratins, chopping vegetables, making savoury spreads, pureeing fruit, blending ... ...is extremely simple to use literally a press of a button, and as all ingredients are in a sealed bowl there is no mess from splashing etc.. It is easy to clean afterwards as all 3 parts (except for the electrical unit!) can be dishwashed or immersed in warm soapy water for cleaning.
I have recently replaced my multi moulinette for around £30 and bearing in mind the last one lasted for 10 yars+ I would say that is certainly value for money!! ...
