Advantages: Very Amusing, with a serious message, easy to read, refreshing plot
Disadvantages: a little trouble understanding some slang words

...will leave you thinking. As this is Chrissie Glazebrook’s first novel, she has managed to capture the rough ride of the youngsters in a believable and emotional way which isn’t easy. I will certainly be looking out for any other novels she writes.... Read review

...A friend recommended this book to me and after reading it, I am under no false pretences as to why! I would have totally fitted into this book as a character because yes, the description "Madolescent" does suit me perfectly! The book is called The Madolescents and is Chrissie Glazebrook's first novel. Yet reading this you wouldn't have known, because this is nothing short of a modern masterpiece that ought to be compulsory reading for all secondary school students! I have this book in paperback, which sells at £6.99, and the front photograph is of a red, wooden floor (which extends to cover the spine and back of the book) with two pairs of girls' (I presume!) feet in strappy shoes.
