I recently received a bottle of Poison as a gift. I am usually really fussy about choosing my own perfume, but this scent is truly divine. In the past I have worn CKOne, Diorella and Paloma Picasso and have never had any comments, but now I wear Poison daily I have received numerous positive comments.
To me, Poison conjures up images of souks in Morocco and incense-filled temples in the Far East. That may sound corny, but the heavy sandalwood notes combined with dark musk and bitter chocolate really do remind me of my travels in exotic faraway places. It is a very heavy, sensual scent - perfect for the evening and romantic nights out, but I think it can be worn during the daytime too. For those who have tried Paloma Picasso, I think it is very similar, but heavier.
The deep purple bottle is elegant and attractive - heart-shaped curved glass with a twisted, fluted top make it distinctive amongst the bottles of foundation and cotton wool! The only disadvantage I have found is that the scent fades after a few hours. If sprayed liberally the scent does last longer, but given the price it is tempting not to spray too liberally!
ic potion for modern times. Audacious and profoundly feminine, the fragrance is an unsettling harmony, a fusion of contrasting olfactory facets. Intensely bewitching creates a mood of mystery and enchantment.
ssified as an oriental fragrance. This feminine fragrance boasts a strong scent of Jasmine with lower tones of amber, almond and woods. It is recommended for casual wear.
