I found the talc in this range fantastic as well. In some ways it's even better ... ...I never seem able to get the soap though and I haven't really checked to see if there is a body lotion.
A good tip is to try to get hold of some of the old bottles if you can. If you put very weak tea in them they look very elegant on a dressing table or in the bathroom and of course you can keep your real perfume then in a drawer where the scent stays longer and the perfume doesn't evaporate - I just hope none of my friends attempts ... more

Personally, I don't find this fragrance heavy or cloying like some others and it doesn't seem to take your breath away which I find happens with Channel No.5 and more particularly with Opium.
Have a try.. I know it's been going for years, but I don't think it's an old fashioned perfume, it might however not be one for a youngish l6 - 17 or so, perhaps more for an over 25...which I most certainly am.

This might sound a bit corny, but about twenty years ago I was at work when I noticed a colleague's perfume. I thought it was a really beautiful scent and so I asked her what it was. She replied Miss Dior.
I purchased my first bottle soon after that, and since then have always had a bottle on my dressing table.

Along with Chanel No 5, this is the only other perfume I use and I've been a fan for about 30 years. Forget the sameness of these modern 'celebrity' perfumes and stick with a real classic. Miss Dior is the sort of fragrance you either love or hate. I first came across it on a trip to Leeds when one of the 'perfume women' in one of the stores squirted me with it. It is evocative of leather (I know this sounds strange)but I can think of nothing else to describe the perfume. It is not flowery in any way, musky or oriental. It is UNIQUE!

You'll recognize it. And you'll remember the woman wearing this. And you'll want to be her. Picture Grace Kelly or Audry Hepburn. This fragrance is for the woman who knows how beautiful she is. Miss Dior is not about flaunting sex appeal, it's about being disgnified and self-confident. It is so classy, in fact, that people around you will notice you (your eyes, your lips, the way you walk) not your fragrance. They won't say "oh yeah, whatshername ... ...NAME, wasn't she fascinating?" This is not for a partying night, it's more for an intimate dinner, or a business encounter. I'm serious. Every time I have business meetings in a social setting I wear Miss Dior... it's just right. Be a lady, be smart, be memorable... be Miss Dior. ...
