You know how different smells remind you of things? As I spray the liquid onto my naked skin, the scent rises to my nose buds, swirling in my head; I have visions of fumbled kisses on the dance floor of a teenage disco back in 1988! Belinda Carlisle booming from the speakers, high heeled stilettos, massively oversized hooped earrings and hideous curly perms!

All the boys were wearing Brut and the girls wore Poison. I could never afford the "real" stuff until I started work, but the local chemist sold a more affordable option - imitation bottles at £2.99.

As the years went by my mates seemed to progress to newer and more modern aromas. Maybe I was boring or stuck in my ways or maybe it was "better the devil you know"? I remained faithful to Poison and on occasions still wear the original scent now.

***The Bottle***

The bottle is bulb shaped, dark purple in colour and has a transparent glass lid. Comes in two sizes, 30ml and 50ml. The box is green with Poison and Dior written on the front.

***The Fragrance***

A spicy alluring perfume, full of mystery and intrigue. Too overpowering for me to wear during the day, but ideal for a night out or if I'm planning a little seduction. No need to top up either, it's strong aroma lasts all night and more.

*** Price and availability***

A 30ml bottle will cost around £30 and the 50ml around £40. Not available in major high street chains, although smaller retailers still stock. There are still a number of online shops that stock this perfume.
