Neon 2.0 LX automatic 99 V

Two years ago I was looking for any type of car that could sit three people and have room for a buggy and everything else a baby needs. I wasn't look for any type of vehicle but I saw a second hand Chrysler Neon for sale on the forecourt. I Knew very little about this Amercican built car as they have only being around in this country for a few years now.

A lot of cars these days seem to resemble another make of car but not the Neon. It appears to come across as a sporty type car but at the same time a look of a family car. I've seen a couple of others on the roads with their tinted widows and massive rear spoilers but you know that there is that much room inside that you could easily accomodate your family.

So regarding the interior, you are overwhelmed by the amount of space on offer. There is plenty of leg room for five people and with this in mind I thought it must have a tiny boot capacity. But I was wrong and I have no trouble getting a pushchair and weekly shop in the boot. You can also drop the rear seats if you require a bit more room and as a added bonus you dont have to drop the whole seat. It's split so you can either drop just one seat if you so wish.

The car comes with ABS, immobilizer, electric front windows, electric mirrors, power steering, central locking, alarm, air bags for driver and front passenger and air conditioning, CD player. It also comes with cruise control options on the steering wheel which sadly on today's congested roads, I don't get to use much. Lastly the car also comes with traction control. A great feature to help keep you on the road in icy conditions.

Considering the size of the vehicle, it handles extremely well and takes corners and roundabout's no problem.

With the 2.0L engine and automatic gearbox you just simply put you r foot on the accelerator and you are flying and it's great for those of you who don't like hill start's.

The down side is I recently had trouble replacing the exhuast and finally had to get one direct from the local dealer which cost quite a bit. And fuel ecomomy is not too good with urban driving.

Apart from this it drives perfectly and there is not one bit of rust on the paintwork.
