My sister has just bought the Voyager 2 litre LE spec. This car has everything you could want. I got in the other day, she started up from cold on a hot day, and the aircon was cold from the start. The leather was giving off that new smell even though the car is 16 months old and covered 20,000 miles. The leather seats are like armchairs and even the other 6 seats in the car are all the same. I know it's nearly new but the car feels solid and tight when cornering and all the switchgear is durable. Let's face it, it was designed for American's so they've gotta make it good !! Compared with my sister-in-laws Ford Galaxy 2.3 Ghia, there is no comparison. Even the smaller Chrysler 2 Litre engine feels just as quick and is a lot more economical. My sister averages about 300 miles in a week and achieves between 27 and 35 to the gallon. The Galaxy is about 22 to 28. Price wise is similar at around £17,000 for an 18 month old one. Only downfall is that it has manual transmission, and for a car that size and with everything automatic or electric, it really needs an auto gearbox to complete it. I would recommend this to anyone with a larger family as it has seven seats and anyone really who wants a quality, durable and luxury vehicle for not a lot money by today's standards.
Advantages: Size, Comfort, Practicality, Versatile Disadvantages: 2ltr engine is ridiculously under powered
I had the 7 seater, 2ltr Voyager and regret selling it when I did.
Interior: Build quality is excellent. Very spacious. The quality of the leather is good for a US car. My kids loved having their own seat and space (less fighting!!) Be warned, if you want to remove seats from the car get some help. I could not believe how heavy they were - be careful.
Get all the seats out and you've got a van and can lug an amazing amount of stuff around. Having ... ...Toyota didn't have and was a pain.
Instruments and controls were once you got used to them clear and nice to use as a result of the quality of build.
Exterior: Looks good. The two rear sliding doors are much better than conventional opening doors like on the Ford. Roof bars are strong and useful but a pig to move - it will take two of you or you'll be running from one side to the other moving them.
This is a wider than normal car and as such finding ...

Advantages: large space Disadvantages: not available as an automatic
comparing this car to other people carriers is like comparing the ritz to a bed and breakfast.
It has plenty of room for seven adults with a huge amount of headroom for them. Lots of places to put bits and pieces with all the usual cup holders and nooks and crannies.
large boot space and if you have children, like we have, then you can push the back seat forward to get even more. We have got a full drum kit and six people in the car!!!
The seats ... ...me get lift them in and out.
Driving is a real pleasure and a very comfortable ride is had by all. The fuel consumption averages 28 - 32 mpg, which is not too bad. We have driven all over the country from cornwall to ayrshire and not a single problem.
Overall I would recommend this car over all others and I have had a few, including the peugeot and the sharan but this beats them hands down. ...

...decided to opt for the Chrysler Voyager 2.0 LE. I would have prefered the larger engine but as this was only available with the auto box that was decided for me.
I went for the optional leather trim and tinted glass which both go to give that feeling of extra luxury. I have made numerous long journey and always arrived feeling fresh. My children settle quickly and often fall asleep in their "Captains Chairs".

I have just returned from a test drive in the New Chrysler PT CRUISER and enjoyed it so much that I just had to write and tell you about it!
Having owned both a 2.0l Neon and a 2.0l Voyager in the past, I thought I knew what to expect from Chryslers2 litre engine - Was I wrong! The engine in the new PT Cruiser is uprated and it has transformed the performance. The Cruiser is now on a par with performance figures for the XR3i.
Driving this car through a town centre on a saturday afternoon certainly turned heads! Its looks are superb - A cross between a 30s gangster car and someones customised special this family saloon really excels.
Chromed alloy wheels, Cruise control, Aircon, Traction control, leather, Cd, Thatcham Cat 1 alarm/immobiliser are just some of the features of the top "Limited" model.
