Chuggington is a new children television programme, which is aired on BBC2 every weekday morning at 8.45am. It has been running now for a good number of weeks and is something we always tune in to watch and also have our set top box set to record as well.
The programme is basically a computer animated show which lasts for 15 minutes and it is all about the town of Chugginton. In this town, the trains are the main characters and it concentrates on the three trainee trains learning the ropes (or rails) of the town. The programme always have a different story to them and each one is captivating till the last minute. Koko, Wilson and Brewster are the three young "chuggers" we are followed closely and they always seem to be getting into mischief of some sort.
There have been shows where the new chuggers try to out do each other with heavier loads or try to go faster than one another but these always end up with the good moral that you don't need to be faster or take more on than another train to get the job done right and on time.
The programme has a great sound track to go along with the starting credits. The tune is so catchy I find myself singing it all day..."Chugger, Chugger, Chugger, Chugger, Chugginton.....A traintastic Crew, honk your horns, toot toot!.
Every short episode has a good meaning to it and teaches valuable lessons to the young chuggers and also the children who would be watching it. It is cleverly done with bright and eye catching graphic that even I love to watch.
The characters are all good and have strong individual personalities. The show is totally brilliant and I would think this is another children's television classic in the making.
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this programme to all those with small children and would certainly say that it is not just for boys girls and parents a like will love the new ideas and graphics that this little show brings. 5 stars!
