I've been working with computers (both micros and minis) since 1978. I build my own PC's when cash is available and help friends understand their's.
Although I currently don't own a motorbike I enjoy biking and touring on them.

I have been with Churchill insurance since 1991 and they have never caused me any concern. Their staff are very helpful and their quotes are always around the lowest.
I drive a Vauxhall Corsa at the moment and Churchill was at least £40 cheaper than the AA. But price isn't the only factor.
A year back we had an accident. A fellow pulled out of a lay-by right into our path causing minimal, but unsightly, damage to our nearside front wing. We arrived home and rang up Churchill's claim department.
After a few questions about the location and cause of the accident the lady at Churchill said that she would arrange to have our car picked up and a replacement delivered. We received a phone call the following day from a nearby garage asking us when it would be convenient to collect the vehicle. The Corsa was taken away the very next day and we received a Proton as a courtesy car. Our Corsa was delivered back to us two days later. Cost to us? Nothing.
The claim form that Churchill sent through had as much detail filled in as possible just leaving us the responsibility of sketching the positions of the vehicles and signing it.
It's good to know that should an accident happen then your insurance company will do all it can to smooth things over. If our car had been heavily damaged then Churchill would have arranged for a replacement vehicle as soom as possible.
One other thing worth mentioning about car insurance is that if you don't have an insurance policy, in your name, for two years or more then you automatically lose all discounts you have accrued. I rode a motorbike for two and a half years before buying another car and didn't realise this. When I went to start a new policy for a car I'd bought Churchill brought this point to my attention. Luckily, for me, one of the directors of Churchill decided that I could still claim my discount as I was an old customer.

Just done that this very moment. Have offered them an apology as well for not double checking in the first place. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Steve.

Just a quick note about the category / double opinion thing again. I had once posted an op in the wrong category and was made aware of it by another user. The proper procedure then is to inform Ciao and ask them to move the op to the right category. Ciao can be pretty tough on this, if they realize that the op has been reposted instead of them having been informed, they will regard it as abuse. I know this clearly wasn't your intention, but I recommend that you get in touch with them immediately to avoid a problem. As you see, I have come back to check, and so would ciao. No hard feelings, I hope. I know that you are not an abuser by intend. Take care & and keep writing good ops.

Hello From_The_Continent. Yep. Truth be told, I forgot about that Op. Same opinion but the category is different. I wrote about InnoculateIT which was under the heading of Computer Associates when it should really have been under Anti Virus Software.
One point of note is that an opinion is worth nothing if it cannot be found under the correct heading. I have noticed a couple of products/services where they should be re-assigned to a more general area of interest.
