Advantages There is a low minimum payout of £5.00
Disadvantages Some of the surveys are very long and you dont get paid much for them.
Ciao surveys is very easy to join once you have registered you will have a chance to fill in your profile which has various sections for you to complete. Some of the sections include: Basic profile, Interests, Media, Travel and many more. They say the more of your profile you fill in the more likely you are to get a survey sent to you.
The site sends out regular surveys by email I get about 6 a day I don't always complete them all it depends how long they take to complete. The length of each survey varies and so does the rewards they state the time it will take and the amount you will earn on the email. Some can take 30 minutes to complete for 10p so I don't normally do these. But others can take just a few minutes for a higher reward. I have to admit a lot of the surveys that I take part in I do a few questions then they say I don't qualify if this happens you will get entered into the sweepstake where you can earn thousands of pounds (I've never won). The most I have got for a survey is £4.00 which wasn't bad. Each survey is about something different I just completed one on beer and this morning they sent me one on my health so very varied. It is very easy to see which surveys you have completed as when you login to the site if you go to 'My rewards' it says any surveys you have done or entered and the reward. The amount you have earnt doesn't always come up straight away as some surveys stay open for a bit and when the survey closes your account will be credited with the amount. Underneath the information on the surveys it keeps you up to date with any payments you have requested. This isn't always updated as I put in for a payment and received it yesterday but the status still says processing.
I joined the site in November 2008 and so far have received £5.17 it took about a month for it to go into my bank account. I have already earnt another £1.80. The payout on the site is when you earn above £5.00 you can then request for it to be paid into your bank account. Another way to make a bit of money is if you invite a friend to the site for each one that joins you get £1.00Overall I think the site is easy to use but it can be very frustrating when you complete loads of questions only to find out you don't qualify for that survey. I'm not sure if I would recommend the site or not as I have received payment from them but I have been lucky enough to qualify for ok paid surveys and some have been quite fun to do. So it is up to you if you sign up to the site.

I don't bother much with Ciao surveys these days - incentives too low and too much chance of not qualifying.
