For a long time I've loved MAC's vast range of eyeshadows - any colour under the sun is pretty much guaranteed to be included in their collection and in variety of finishes to boot! My only real gripe with them is that I find that they tend to crease on my eyelids halfway through the day which is a real problem if you tend to be drawn towards the brighter colours. I was interested in purchasing a primer to help tackle this problem, and before heading into the MAC store I was all prepared to buy MAC's standard primer for eyes - Prep & Prime. But when I got chatting to one of the makeup girls she convinced me that their PaintPots actually make a wonderful primer, as well as a cream based shadow so essentially you get two for the price of one! The bourjois little round pot eyeshadow retails at £5.95 per pot. There are often special offers around and I got mine on a two for £10 with another product from the range from Boots.
My original opinion was that £5.95 for a single eyeshadow is a bit expensive when your on a budget like me! But how wrong I was! I have bought many eyeshadows in the past from most of the major cosmetic brands but these little pots are just the best!
The product is well presented, each shadow's pot is the colour of the shadow inside so this makes selection easier, unlike some brands who package everything the same colour and you need to look inside to view the shadows. This is a period drama absolutely draped in beautiful cinematography. The scenery, costumes and colour are something to behold. Merchant/ Ivory style the story is visually stunning to watch. The majority of the film is shot in Guilin, Guangxi in Southern China therefore authenticity remains intact throughout. Direction centres intensively on the Fane's resulting in amazing character examination. Such an examination requires strong leads and thats exactly what we got. Edward Norton (Fight Club/ The Illusionist) and Naomi Watts (The Ring/ Mulholland Drive) are both exceptional.
