Advantages Advantages A versatile and effective cream cleaner.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Avoid using on soft plastics and fabrics.

Sometimes you get so familiar with a product that you lose sight of how good it is! I have been using Cif cream cleaner at home and professionally, where I care for boats, for so many years that I thought it merited a review. Made by Unilever, this all purpose cleaner comes in a variety of sizes from 500ml to a whopping 2litres but the 500ml size is my favourite as it is easy to handle and does not wear you out as does the large size, if you are having to lift it repeatedly or run around a boat all day with your bucket full of cleaning goodies. It comes in a white plastic container whose sides ... more

Advantages Advantages Leaves every where looking lovely and clean, quick and easy to use.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None.

Cif Cream is always something we have in the cupboard, probably because it’s something my Mum always has in the cupboard too. We use lots of different brands of sprays and wipes when it comes to cleaning the bathroom and I like to give it a once over every day but if I’m doing a proper clean I follow this up by also using Cif. I usually buy Cif Cream when it’s on offer in the supermarkets but it’s available from B&M at the moment for 99p a bottle. The cream comes in a tall and thin white plastic bottle which clearly displays the Cif logo along with a couple of pictures of where the cream ... more

Advantages Advantages Ease to use, well designed bottle, works well, decent price.

Disadvantages Disadvantages No child safety feature.

Cif, formerly known as Jif, is something that has been around for many years and I remember seeing it throughout my childhood but always being far too spoilt to have to do any cleaning! It comes packaged in a tall white plastic bottle with a green flip top lid. To use Cif shake very well, flip open the lid and then pour the thick white liquid on to the surface that you want to clean. Then leave for a couple of minutes before wiping or rinsing away or scrub at the area with a sponge to really lather up the Cif and get rid of all stubborn stains, limescale and marks from bathroom surfaces ... more

Produced by a company called Unilever, Cif formerly known as Jif, and prior to that known as Vim, is a household product that always has a place in my kitchen cupboard. It was launched in 1969 in France as a creamy, protective but powerful domestic cleaner. As mentioned above it started off as Vim, and then was changed to the name that it is most commonly referred to by my generation today, and the name that I still refer to it as today 'Jif'. In 2001 however ( I can't believe it was that long ago!) it was changed again to the name that still remains - Cif. Cif comes in a long white plastic ... more

Advantages Advantages Great addition to the Cif family

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

Cif is a brand of cleaning products by Unilever, The product was known as Jif in Great Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands and Hong Kong until 2001 when the name was changed to Cif in order to harmonise marketing and product inventories across the continent. I generally use the Cif cream with the lemon scent but last week they had run out in the supermarket and so I decided to go with the Cif cream white with microparticles. This one obviously does not have the lemon scent. Instead I would say its just a fresh, clean bathroom clean kind of smell which is not too chemically smelling which is nice ... more
