Ever since I had my bathroom re-done last year and got rid of my bath for a corner shower cubicle (criminal I know, but you could see how small my bathroom is you'd understand). Anyway ... I've been looking for a cleaner to clean the scum marks that are left on the screen after a shower. After watching the adverts on TV by 'Barry Scott' for Cillit Bang I thought it was worth I try.
So on my next trip into town, I thought I'd see if I could get a bottle. Went into my local Wilkinson's to see if i could find it in there. Well this product certainly makes itself known with its purple bottle and bright pink nozzle. It has a orange/pink label on the front with 'CILLIT BANG' written in big letters.
When I got home I thought there is no time like the present, so off I went with my sponge (as recommeded on the bottle) and my newly bought Cillit Bang. Foillowing the directions on the back of the bottle I turned the nozzle to the 'ON' position when I noticed there is a small piece of mesh over the hole (thought this was strange but best not to remove it, it doesn't say to). Well after a few quick squirts... I realised the mesh helps the liquid become the foam, pink foam (well it had to be... didn't it). Still following the directions it says not to leave it on for more than a minute (won't bore you with me describing wiping it off!!).
After trying two or three different products, I wasn't too sure that this would work but I was really surprised with the results. It brought off all of the scum marks without having to really scrub away at them (like I normally do). Also it seems to last for a couple of showers so I'm not having to clean as much (always a good thing).
Cillit Bang can be used on many different surfaces from tiles to the kitchen sink, but be careful after all this can be harmful to the skin so wear rubber gloves if you have sensitive skin.
I have a confession... I nearly didn't buy it as it was £2.99 for 750ml and was worried it woulb be money down the drain (so to speak). Really pleased I decided to live dangerously and took the risk. As I've said i bought my bottle in Wilkinson's but you can buy this in most supermarkets (tesco etc.).
A hearty 4/5 for this one, not full marks as it smells a bit chemically (cleaning products, you'd think they could make them smell nice). But overall a really good product, I'm really pleased with it. Worth a try...
