I'm getting old fast. I'm 20, and my hair is starting to lose the battle to stay way up on top. I'm not Moby yet, more Frasier. I don't mind too much - it's better than a comb-over or a mullet, but I still wouldn't say no to a magic potion that would make me wake up with the Beatle cut I always wanted. It ain't gonna happen, but a little extra coverage would be nice. I won't do anything stupid, like get a weave, wig or aggressive potion (it doesn't bother me THAT much) but for a couple of quid having a little extra is welcome. So after finding the freebie for Circ hair thickeningshampoo, I went for it. And low and behold, it was a good treat.
The smell of the shampoo was very nice indeed, a pleasant peachy effect, so good I'd buy it for the smell rather than the hair thickening effect. The consistency of the liquid was the same as most shampoos, though I found you didn't necessarily need as much as you do with others (though it may be because I have less to wash :)
When I first used it, I didn't sprout an enormous wave of thick Beatle hair. The flesh coloured gap at the top of my scalp was a little smaller, and the hair itself a little thicker. A little. After repeated use, I found that this increased a little more. I was still thinning, but it put... weeks on me :)
I'd definitely buy it again, as a shampoo with a thickening side effect rather than the other way round. I'd be interested to see the price of the full bottle, and if it isn't ridiculously expensive, I'll get some. It didn't make Cousin It, but it didn't make me Fester and as for my hair, I think I shall buy my girlfriend a stack of Sean Connery videos, a Moby album and a shower cap. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
