Cirque's patented GlidePoint Technology makes it easier than ever to control your PC. Simply glide your fingertip over the Cat's surface and gently tap on the pad or click the buttons to perform all mouse functions. And its solid-state design keeps the Cat working without cleaning. Compact, lightweight and very functional, a direct replacement for PS/2 and serial mice, no drivers needed.

Advantages: Very Compact design - built-in Mouse Disadvantages: Expensive - No Scroll wheel
...The Cherry Advanced Performance Keyboard has a built in Touchpad to replace the functions of the mouse while still keeping a space saving size, ideal if you have limited space on your desktop. The keyboard comes in either black or beige, and has all the standard keys, some have just been moved to make space for the touchpad.
Layout

Pretty standard layout all the letter and number keys are where they should be, however the bottom row of keys have all been resized smaller to match the standard keys which allows the arrow keys to be placed closer so this makes space for the touchpad which is located on the bottom right of the keyboard also the number pad has been pushed up to the top and the F1 to F12 keys have had the spaces removed and been split into two rows which allows the Insert, Home, Prtsc, Delete, keys etc. to go next...

Advantages: options for build Disadvantages: battery lead location
...I recently purchased this laptop and so far so good. I previously had a inspiron 6400 and can say that the improvements are really good. The touchpad is great and as other have mentioned the LEDS really do add to the appearance in of the laptop. I went for the standard black matt cover as i wanted more from the performance side than the pretty-ness factor. That being said this laptop seems to succeed in both.
I decided to add the integrated webcam too and it is fab! the quality of the video is much more than i expected and the program it comes with is easy to use. It is definately thinner than my last laptop but not as thin as some new ones coming out, although I think some can feel too flimsy, this is a perfect size and weight. The battery plugs into the side unlike previous models which can be a bit awkward at times....

Advantages: Excellent as an entertainment centre, good sound and picture quality Disadvantages: Shows early signs of wear and tear, very poor battery
...itself and the only way to reset it is to turn off the computer.
Nor has this laptop lasted as well as I would have hoped. I have only owned it for 7 months and already there are signs of wear. The stickers near to the keyboard (which are too sticky to peel off straight away) have begun to peel and look messy. The touch-pad buttons are also worn, with slight grooves where I have used them and there is no longer a silver sheen to it, but one is able to see the black plastic underneath. Whilst I admit I use my laptop very often, I also take very good care of it, and was disappointed to see it wear so easily.
Overall, for the price of this laptop I think it is worth it. It comes with a good set of programmes, excellent sound and good quality screen and graphics, however, it would be important to see it as more of a short-term buy...
