...This is a great laptop let down by a couple of things which could easily be remedied by Dell.
Pros: Very fast with a great screen (I have a 2.5GHz Core 2 Duo with the 1920x1200 Ultrasharp screen option). Supports 2 hard disks. Looks good and feels as solid as a rock. Excellent full keyboard.
Cons: Big and heavy - not really for carrying around. Sound - only one speaker so no stereo, and sound comes from underneath to the side, so sounds distant - big disappointment. Touchpad - why is it so small? There is loads of room to make this much larger. As it is, I find I am constantly having problems with it as I am inadvertently hitting the 'scrolling' areas and the mouse stops responding as I am expecting it to. This is the worst touchpad I have used, but only because its usable area is so small.

Advantages: lightweight, nice screen Disadvantages: noisy fan, runs too hot, touchpad loses control of cursor, requiring reboot.
...Regarding the Vaio VGN-SZ381P:
There is a problem with the touchpad or the drivers controlling it. Every once in a while, the cursor starts jumping randomly all over the screen, highlighting and selecting every icon, and losing control of the left-click button, with both buttons only right-clicking. On other occasions, the cursor just freezes, as if there were no touchpad at all. Both of these issues can be a huge problem when control cannot be regained except through a hard reboot (yes removing the battery and unplugging the machine).
This computer also gets way too hot and makes too much noise. Sony has really fumbled the ball on this one. Spent way too much money to want to get rid of it within a year of purchasing brand new....

Advantages: Comfortable, slim and sleek, smooth buttons, touch-pad Disadvantages: Buttons that stick to the keyboard
...The Logitech diNovo Edge keyboard is very comfortable to write on, because it is so simple and flat. The buttons are nice and smooth and every time i write on it I feel like my fingers fly across it.
I also like the shape and size because it fits my office desk perfectly.
However, i have experienced that sometimes the buttons "stick" to the keyboard and it usually takes some effort to get them out again.
The touch-pad was a little confusing at first, but i got used to it pretty quickly and it is really easy to use.
I would definately recommend this keybord to anyone who likes simplicity and quality and needs a keyboard that lets them type fast without having to worry about stumbling on other keys....

The cirque du soliel was "born" in 1984 from a group of public entertainers in Quebec Canada, and within ten years were taking their "reinvention of the circus" around the globe, with six shows on permanent tour and two based in the USA ( one in Vegas,... more
