to control your computer. To perform basic mouse functions, simply glide your finger over the smooth surface of the Cirque Easy Cat® to point, then tap on the pad or press on the buttons to click. Both 'left' and 'right' click functions can be activated by tapping on designated areas of the pad. It's easy to detect the 'right' click area of the pad thanks to the subtle change of pad texture and color. Double-tap and hold your finger on the pad, or hold the left button as your finger glides, to grab, drag and highlight any item on-screen. Activate vertical scroll by simply gliding a finger along the right edge of the touchpad. The GlideExtend® edge extending feature makes it easy to keep moving the cursor after you've run into the touchpad's edge. The Cirque Easy Cat® works 'out of the box' with all native Microsoft Windows® operating systems; no drivers required.
Why push a mouse around when you can just point? Cirque's patented GlideTechnology makes it easier than ever to control your PC. Simply glide your finger over Easy Cat's surface and gently tap on the pad or click on the buttons to perform all mouse functions. Plus, its solid-state design keeps Easy Cat working without breakdowns - there are no moving parts to clean!

...) connected to a modem, one via a USB (Universal Serial Bus cable that supports data transfers) and one via an Ethernet Cable (Bus cable supporting data transfers). Advantages: EASY ACCESS TO USB PORTS Disadvantages: INITIAL SETUP FOR NON-PC PEOPLE
...had to scramble round the back of the machine to actually access the port to do that. Well this gets round that by not only bringing the ports to the front of the PC but also giving you multiple ports where you only had the one before. So now if you want to play a game with a USB joystick just plug it in, then when your done just unplug and put the joystick away so it’s no longer in your way. It’s the same with all manner of USB devices.
RELIABILITY
As reliable as your original port on the back of the machine. Never had a problem myself, but if you had a problem with the back port I guess that could cause problems with this as it is just an extension of the original.
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Clear diagrams show you just how to connect everything up in the first place and make it really easy to follow. That’s about all that...

...such as windows 98 or ME, you will need to contact your motherboard or PCI/PC card manufacturer for firmware upgrade or driver software support.
For linux systems, please visit http://www.linux-usb.org for the driver.
This card comes with a mini-CD containing the appropriate driver and a brief installation manual. If you want more information about the card and its driver for various operating systems, you can check the latest update at www.archos.com and also download an electronic manual for easy keeping.
As a bonus, this card is driven by an NEC chip which mean the main component (at least) is manufactured by a well-known company = reliability. Just browse www.nec.com for more info of your chip.
Overall, this card is easy to install. Just open up the computer, put the card into a spare PCI slot and then install the driver....
