...-in Airport card meaning that I could not connect to my home network. A quick dig around SourceForge however, revealed that some clever tech-monkeys had written some drivers to support certain PCMCIA WiFi cards including the WL110. That saved me £65 for an Apple card!
Also worthy of note is the range of this card which far exceeds any other I have ever used. My employer currently uses CiscoAironet 350 cards which are approximately five times the cost of this card but which seem to have a range of less than half of this WL110. Using this card in my front room at home, I can see my access points on the first and second floors of my house and also the unit at the rear of my opposite neighbour's house! Although there is the capability to add an external aerial to this card, I'm sure you'll never need it!

Advantages: best way to get a wired ethernet port at the other end of a wireless connection Disadvantages: none
...This is a fabulous product! It is absolutely the BEST way to get wired ethernet at other end of a wireless connection.
his is a wirelessbridge. It is like hanging a 6-port switch off one of the wired ethernet ports on your wired+wireless router, in that it gives you four more ethernet ports. However, it connects to your router wirelessly, so you can put it anywhere, and it doesn't use up any of the existing wired ethernet ports. With this device, you can have four more ethernet ports, equivalent to the ones that are on your wireless router, but but they can be anywhere in your home or office, because they are connected to the router wirelessly.
If you need a wireless connection to a device or computer that cannot use a dedicated wireless adapter, then a wirelessbridge, like this, is the only way to do it.

Advantages: Nice looking, good selection of features Disadvantages: Can be tricky to set up, no support for bi-directional printers
...The WGPS606 is an unusual combination of a bridge with a four port switch plus a wireless print server. What does that do for you? Good question!
Most people would want this for its wireless print function, more on that later. The WGPS606's other feature is that it can act as a bridge allowing you to add wireless connections to an existing wired network. It also sports 4 network ports for adding more wired devices to it.
On the wireless side it supports both 802.11b and 802.11g as well as the proprietry Netgear RangeMax standard. It also copes fine with both WEP and WPA-PSK encryption, the latter being more secure and should be used if at all possible.
The device's main selling point though is its ability to let PCs communicate with a printer wirelessly. The device has 2 USB ports allowing you to connect and use two different...

Alter Bridge's first album, the phenomenal 'One Day Remains', will go down in history as one of my favourite debut albums. The extremely bold mix of beautiful, heart felt lyrics and fabulous, hard hitting drum beats with screeching guitar riffs really... more
