Cisco NAC Appliance is an end-to-end network registration and enforcement solution that allows network administrators to authenticate, authorize, evaluate, and remediate users and their machines prior to allowing users onto the network. Advantages: very fast, reliable Disadvantages: pricey, need to have IT knowledge
...This dual 2GHZcore processor with combined speed of 4Ghz and a 4Mb Cache makes a very fast pc and will cope easily with many demanding programs running at once. There are probably better deals for the same or better processors, but you are paying for the quality, many dont have a high 4Mb cache. This would be most recommend for IT technicians or people who know what they are doing.
The main let down of this is the variation in the price, while this may be good, you dont want to be paying too much when you can get a compute just as good for the same high price or cheaper. But as i said before, if you can get a good deal, and know what your talking about, this is most recommended...

Advantages: Build quality - array controller included reliable Disadvantages: Not the cheapest / G5 available
...We have always purchased 370's for a good all-rounder, the G4 is no different. So far we've only experienced problems with the G2's, at least 5 with system board failures.. and still counting.
The G4 is well made and if using the rack model is very quick and easy to install. The smartstart software is easy to use together with array config software, and you get HPSIM to monitor your servers which is nice. Also the integerated ILO its good for support / headless servers.
The high performance model gives you dual processing, more ram, array controller and some extra redundancy in the shape of fans and psu. If you need this kind of spec then buying this way should save you some cash, in particular the dual processor.
With the release of the G5 with dualcore processing as standard not to mention a whole host of additional features...

Advantages: small, easily upgraded with standard hardware Disadvantages: should be dual proc
...I have the Econel 50 and unlike some of the more comon server platforms it offers quite a bit in terms of upgrade-ability. It is a little tight in there if you're adding more drives (3.5 &* 5.25) so I recommend keeping your cable management tight.
It's a reliable build on the Intel Chipset and I've yet to see a BSOD! The Motherboard build is of expected server high quality and there is no sign of popping electrolytic capacitors around the CPU; there is ample cooling as the PSU doubles as the cooling (snug exhaust fit) over the large CPU heatsink.
The installation tools that come on the setup CDs provide a pre-installation environment based upon a flavor of Linux and allows you to install Win 2K up to 2K3 Enterprise.
Ideal for a budget server, not designed to be mission critical, would be great as a DUAL CPU or DUALcore as struggles...

▀ ▀ ▀ The low end processor market. ▀ ▀ ▀
The low end processors market is not as greatly disputed such as mainstream and high end processor market and also if you noticed few reviews are written about them, few more
