Advantages: reasonably high quality cable Disadvantages: Of very limited use
My 100th review ? in some ways I wish I?d chosen a more glamorous item to cover, but this will have to do!
Earlier Olympus Digital cameras used RS232c interfaces to connect directly to Personal Computers; my first semi-serious digital camera (an Olympus CAMEDIA C 960ZOOM reviewed previously) was one such example.
Cameras of this vintage frequently have two 3.5mm jack sockets, one for Composite Video out (and feature a yellow collar) the other, for data is beige to match the cable.
The cable is reasonably high quality, being roughly a metre long, and terminating in a 3.5mm jack plug at one end, and a 9 pin serial connection at the other.

Advantages: Serial data transfer (COM port) between Nokia mobile and PC Disadvantages: Serial connection only, NOT USB, only used with certain Nokias
Excellent for data transfer and connecting your Nokia (6210, 6310, 7110 etc) to a PC or laptop or Penbased computer using the serial COM port.
I use it myself to connect my Pen Based Computer to my Mobile phone and use the modem in my Nokia mobile to send and receive data.
It is very reliable and I have only had (business user) a handful of faulty cables in the 3 years I have used them. These most likely became faulty due to excessive use and wear and tear.
Serial connection only. Can only be used with a computer / laptop with a serial COM port. A USB equivalent is available however.
Can only be used with certain Nokia mobile phones (I have used the 7110, 6210e and 6310i) ...
Advantages: Good Quality Disadvantages: Over Priced, USB Now Used
happy to see the little screws on the cable end. On my old cable I had these tiny little screws and had to get a screw driver if I wanted to unplug the cable but with this model I only need to turn the end to release it.
So if you have a printer which needs a cable like the APC why not spend the extra few pounds and buy this. It's very good quality and will never let you down.
I couldn't have been happier with it. I'm not too big a fan of USB cables for printers... Bring back APC! ...
