UPDATE Citibank is offering a FREE British Airways Euro Traveller flight to one of 7 destinations if you open a current account. They are also promising discounted companion flights, car hire (from £63 for 3 days) and hotels (from £21).
Where can you go? You can choose between: Paris Amsterdam Brussels Dublin Hamburg Munich Dusseldorf
What are the conditions? Although the flight is free, you must pay the service charge and tax. You can travel anytime between now and 31 March 2002 (excluding Christmas), and you don't have to stay a Saturday night. Reservations must be made by 31 January 2002 and at least 7 days before travel.
UNFORTUNATELY.. Existing customers don't qualify, but I'm very happy with Citibank, so I'd recommend even it without this offer. To qualify, you need to open an account with your salary paid into it or an initial deposit of £2000. You need to do this before 30 November 2001 to qualify for this offer.
MY OPINION OF CITIBANK I opened a Citibank account 3 years ago, because I needed an international bank. I was attracted to Citibank by the range of currencies it offered, and the ability to transfer funds to other Citibank accounts abroad.
I initially used the Interciti service. This allows transfers to be made to other European branches of Citibank free of charge, and funds being received the same day. However, I have recently discovered how easy it is to use the service via the internet. I can transfer funds at the touch of a button. Of course, I can do all the usual things expected of an internet bank, including managing my direct debits.
If you don't want to access your account via the internet, Citibank offers 24 hour freephone banking from around the world.
The only UK branches are in London, but this is not a problem, as you can pay cash into branches of Lloyds Bank.

Hi Mandy and welcome to Ciao I rated this helpful to encourage you to write more ops. but it started well and sort of petered out, no pun intended. Act on Brian's advice and go reading and rating. Good luck,....Peter
