I have experienced lot of problems in India by the manner in which the nationalized banks work. They do not provide proper online banking which is the modern and simple way of banking. Also, even if you go personally to the banks, the bank officials make your day worse by making you wait, ask you to come the next day, and most importantly, you cannot afford to take leave from your office just for the sake little bank work.
Citibank on the other hand
But Citibank in India made my life very easy. I do not have to go to the bank unless really required in cases like to apply for a new debit card since you have lost one.Even the opening of an account is so simple and secure because, one of my friend at work wanted to open an account with citibank and requested our HR to contact them on this regard. Surprisingly, an executive from citibank came to our office with all the forms required to apply for an account. My friend simply, filled the form, and got the account active in just 5 working days with all the comforts like a debit card, online account activation and most importantly, that was a zero balance account. Can you believe that.!!!
I have visited other nationalized banks for more than 3 times to just get an account. But citibank is awesome in its service.
Credit Cards
And also the credit cards citibank offers has great value for your money. You have cash back offers, few have discounts on purchase after certain amount.
Redeem Awards
For people like me who depend mostly on online banking, they even have something called reward points. If our points exceed certain limit, we can redeem them by selecting the prize we want. And I have got My favourite Bollywood actor Sharukh Khan's songs from the superhit movie "Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna".
I have similar lines for citibank. "Kabhi Alvida na kehna" which in Hindi means "Never say goodbye".

You have customer service working on 24/7 basis.
Security
Also I recently discovered some one telling about the security it provides at the ATMs if you are threatened by any theif accompanying you to the ATM to get your money. All you need to do is, in such situations, just type in your Personal Identification Number(PIN) in a reverse order. And the information is sent to the nearest police station and you will have your hard earned money saved. This is all done by your Citibank. It cares for us the customers.Altogether, I and all my friends have had a wonderful experience with Citibank.
