I went to buy car tax on Saturday and I have to say it really wasn't that painful! £35 for a whole year! Just one advantage of owning a Citroen C1. They are easy to park being so small and warm up nice and quick in the winter! It is certainly cheap enough to run.
The only thing I would say about this car is that is you have been used to driving a car with a bigger engine you do get a little frustrated with the 1 litre engine. It is nippy around town and on short runs, but hills and overtaking can be a little tricky. Also fuel consumption on the motorways isn't great. So it makes more for a little runaround.
I own the special addition Code. Not out of choice so much as that was what was available at the time of me looking. It is ok, except for all the shiny plastic chrome looking bits and pieces that I have to keep sticking back on with super glue!
In my own opinion I find the Citroen C1 to be an all round good little car that is cheap to run.

Advantages: styling, handling, larger boot than C1, looks sporty, handles well Disadvantages: only 3 doors available (the C2 is the 3-door version of C3)
