Advantages: Well specified for the price Disadvantages: Car sold with only one key and no index card to order another. Radio aerial was missing, an easy dealer replace

Anyhow, t hings I like about the C3 include aircon that seems to work quite well for a 3 yr old , electric mirrors and velour seats. On my C3 the grey plastic interior trim perfectly matches the grey velour seating. It really is quite smart.
As a regular M5 user I can say that the C3 is a just a little twitchy on the motorway, the steering stays put but there is vibration through the steering column at about 74 MPH and this is mighty disappointing on an otherwise nice motorway run. I have set the drivers seat into the low slung position to ... more
I was on the lookout for a small car for my regular commute between Solihull and Cheltenham I bought a used 03 plate1.4SX in wicked red from a local dealer in Hall Green Birmingham. I have to admit to committing to a new Honda Jazz CVT as the car of choice. After a few discussions with my wife I downsized the budget, basically the car would have to self finance itself on the savings made in petrol on my Laguna II 1.8 around 120 quid per month. And the wicked red looked good. 23K miles on the clock. I have always been sceptical of Citroen cars as they tend to be sold like DFS sofas, with cashback and easy easy payments. The dash is fairly basic using a digital speedo and LED bars for fuel and temp but should be more reliable than the old Laguna which was plagued with problems on the instrument cluster PCB. I disagree with some comments from others about the plasticky look of the interior. I have set the drivers seat into the low slung position to minimise gripping the top of the steering wheel where the vibration is at a peak. The car did throw a wobbler on its first 50 miles down to Cheltenham. I pulled in to grab a coffee from St********* and when I returned to the vehicle I drove a few hundred metres and had to pull up sharp at a T Junction. The car stalled and when I restarted there was a nasty graunching sound as if the starter motor had engaged incorrectly, returning the key dipped the battery so I assume the motor pinion had temporarily jammed. It did release and I was able to start the car within 30secs. The engine management light came on and stayed on for the rest of the day. But did clear itself the following day, this might be down to a timer function on the lamp. The car had been parked up for some time at the dealers so I think the starter motor pinion may have warmed up on the 50 mile M5 run and bound slightly. The car has not misbehaved since.
Advantages: Nearly 80 mpg, Comfortable, Easy to drive, Well equiped Disadvantages: 4 seats, reverse gear sometimes difficult, easliy dented
I have driven the C2 1.4 HDI SX for just over 6 months (from new) and covered 9,000 miles. The car is easy to drive and very comfortable for a little car. The Car appears bigger on the inside than it looks form the outside. The C2 is only available in a 3 door but has a reasonable rear legg room as the rear seats are higher up than the front. The front drivers seat is completely adustable and will allow a 6'5" driver to sit without touching the roof ... ...boot has enough room to cope with the average weekly shop as the space is used vertically and if you need to move the seats these can be adjusted forward individually.
Performance is all about tourqe as with most diesel engine cars and therefore mid range performance is good especially in 3rd gear pulling away from 30 mph.
Fuel consumption is very good with average arround town cold starting small trips providing 55 mpg and on a typical arround ...

Advantages: styling, handling, larger boot than C1, looks sporty, handles well Disadvantages: only 3 doors available (the C2 is the 3-door version of C3)
Unlike Citroen C1, the C2 is a victim of poor (or none, in fact) advertising. It's the most neglected model. The C1 and C3 are aclaimed, but would they be so popular if they were not promoted tenaciously? I don't think so. The C2 is basically a C3 with 3 instead of 5 doors and a different design. So if you do not need 5 doors, than it's a suitable choice. The C1, in comparison is cheaper than the C2, but its interior is cheaper, too. The C1 is underpowered, ... ...quite comfortable for a car that small. To me, the C3-based C2 is a great little car. I think the reason it is not as popular as the C1 and C3 is that it has a low profile in terms of advertising. Automobiles Citroen must stop ignoring the C2. ...

Quick review of Citroen C2 1.4 HDi
It's excellent! It looks and handles great. I was thinking of buying a Citroen C1, but reconsidered - C2 is more practical and a better car generally. It's also more sporty. ...

Advantages: Fuel economy, parking Disadvantages: Poor access to the rear seats
First saw this car in France last year and thought it looked good, when it came to this country I compared it to other small cars i.e. getz and yaris but this just felt good to drive with the 1.4 HDI turbo diesel engine, It holds the road well and the steering is not too light so you can feel what’s happening. There is plenty of room for two people, I like the fact that you can fold the rear seats up if you need extra space and the rear door opens ...

Advantages: Very nippy and fun to drive. Very economical Disadvantages: Only a small car, doesnt really suit for a family car
...I do own a 1.4Hdi citroen C2 so i know what im talking about (well i like to think i do anyway) and will try to be as honest as possible. Ive had my c2 for over two years now. I got it when i was 17 and learning to drive. Citroen are known for having their problems and i admit i have had a couple. They arent major though, got the car back after a recall and the radio didnt work, and the interior heating system broke last year, not very helpful when ... ...nothing to demist it!!! Other than that it has been a great little car for me. ... its a very nippy car! Its a bit like a go cart really, when you want it to be. Its great fun to drive. It handles really well too. Im a student so money is a bit tight but thankfully with it being a diesel the fuel consumption is very good. A full tank of diesel seems to last forever compared to my boyfriends petrol version. The Tax is cheap too due to the low emmissions. ...
