Citroen C2 VTR

I had mine for two years now, I brought mine second hand for £5000, 30'000 miles on the clock 54 plate, if you looking for something small compact, fun to drive practical and cheap then read on, the VTR model is an automatic so its really easy to drive which leaves your other hand to do other things although talking on mobile whilst driving is not allowed, simple things like tuning the radio, switching the heaters on doing the windows, operating the sat nav these are all subtle distractions which add to the driving pleasure, Insurance is costing me about £400, servicing in the manual suggest ... more

I bought one of these from a picture and the novelty gearbox (paddle shift). It looks great and drives ok, although is no comparison to my Saxo VTR in terms of handling and out and out grunt. The paddle shift works well, after you have found the sweet spot of when to change. I found it to be at six thousand revs, which doesn't sound too healthy but does reap rewards to the brave. In town its best to keep it in automatic unless a scabby Vauxhall Nova is revving next to you at the traffic light grand prix.
