Fair enough all new cars have their niggles but the most frustrating thing was the dealer service from Citroen.
The biggest problem thay seem to have is getting parts -4 weeks to obtain an alternater is unforgiveable , even a simple fog light cover took 2 weeks to arrive

Citroen assured me that my C3 was an exception & i sincerely hope it was but my advice is if you're set on buying a C3 be prepared to be departed from your dream machine for a few weeks a year. ... more
I had the unfortunate experience of owning the C3 exclusive for 6 months . To begin with the positive I found the look of the C3 extremely different from any other car on the market . The body finish was excellent & the standard alloys looked great . I chose the exclusive because of its 1.6 litre engine & it was a great performer - smooth , quiet & responsive giving excellent pick up at most speeds. On the down side my C3 was in the garage for a total of 7 weeks of the 26 I had it Amongst the problems I encountered was :- Alternater failed & took 4 weeks to be replace. Fuel gauge failed to work correctly . Climate control never worked. Rain sensortive wiper had a mind of its own. Driver electric windows struck in down position for 2 weeks. Advantages: Great MPG over 55 to the gallon, looks, acceleration. Disadvantages: Brakes, legroom, no AC.

Ciao members have rated this car review on average: somewhat helpful Review of Citroen C3 1.6 HDi 16v
Advantages: Price, economical, interior height Disadvantages: Drivers seat too high for short legs
who've had the experience.
The boot is tiny, but that's why we have a Volvo as well. There's plenty of leg room and space for both front & rear passengers & there's loads of head room for 6'+ people.
What I liked more was the cash-back offers and most importantly the 0% finance.
We've had the car for 4 months and it has been fantastic, absolutley no problems. It's done some 8K of reliable trouble free motoring. My husband loves it and now refuses to drive the other car!
Top tip -Use the dealer in Exeter (Devon) for the best price
UPDATE:
We've had the C3 now for almost a year and its done 19K. It's averaged 55mpg on mixed driving. The only time it's been a problem is due to a faulty battery, which was eventually changed by the garage. Apart from that it just gets on and does the job!
My only moan so far is that ...
Advantages: cost, spec level, economy, fun to drive Disadvantages: some flimsy interior fittings
C3 is surely the inheritor of the 2CV - small car with an arched roofline suggesting classic Citroen's visual appeal. It's light in weight and our 1.6 HDI with manual gearbox returns an average 70+mpg. It will cruise on the motorway all day at the legal limit and return 65mpg. We're tall, and the headroom and legroom in the front are excellent.
The handling is really good as long as you remember you're in a diesel and keep the revs up. It can be skittish on rough surfaces; the back wheels jump sideways a bit over potholes, but the steering and brakes are excellent.
Servicing is reasonably priced, the build quality seems pretty good. Some interior fittings need handling with care because they're flimsy. But the car is nippy, quiet, reliable and cheap to tax, insure and run. Overall this is one of our favourite cars and great value ...
