Bought this as a 2nd car for household. Never been tempted to buy new before and the other car is now 13yrs old. I wanted a car that was small but had 5 doors, AC, very economical to drive and preferably a diesel. Other than that I was open to any make or model. I had never considered a Citroen as my mum had a BX many years ago which she hated, however I saw the MPG and decided to take it for a test. There were no demos in the exclusive, so we took out the 1.4 diesel desire, we had it for 24hrs (I'd recommend this to anyone serious about buying). It was nippy and easy to drive, although it didn't have any of the specifications which the exclusive had (auto wipe, heated & folding mirrors, cruise control, electronicclimate control, the thing in the boot and loads more) but I liked it. The engine is the same as Ford's TDCI for those who've had the experience.
The boot is tiny, but that's why we have a Volvo as well. There's plenty of leg room and space for both front & rear passengers & there's loads of head room for 6'+ people.
What I liked more was the cash-back offers and most importantly the 0% finance. We've had the car for 4 months and it has been fantastic, absolutley no problems. It's done some 8K of reliable trouble free motoring. My husband loves it and now refuses to drive the other car!
Top tip -Use the dealer in Exeter (Devon) for the best price UPDATE: We've had the C3 now for almost a year and its done 19K. It's averaged 55mpg on mixed driving. The only time it's been a problem is due to a faulty battery, which was eventually changed by the garage. Apart from that it just gets on and does the job!
My only moan so far is that the engine is slightly too big for the cars design, often you have too much power which it cant always handle round corners as the centre of gravity isn't very low.
I would still recommend it, especially as the tax for a year is £35!!!
