This is certainly a divisive car - some people laugh at it whilst others love it.

Essentially if you are looking for a great driving experience you'll be disappointed, but if you want something a little different or aren't bothered about handling and top speeds then the Pluriel is worth a look.

Price
The Pluriel at list price seems expensive for what it is, but Citroen often discount their cars heavily and it is probably the cheapest way to buy a new open top car.

Driving
The 1.4 engine is slightly underpowered and the car is certainly not quick. Its also a little less nippy than you'd expect for a small car, so you have to get used to really putting your foot down to pull out into a gap. The handling is average - a driving enthusiast would probably find it uninspiring, but if you just drive to get from A to B its fine. The ride comfort is also good for a small car, particularly one without a solid roof as there is only limited roll and "scuttle shake".

The fuel economy of the car is pretty good. The car has a trip computer and I usually get between 40 and 42 miles per gallon over the course of a tank.

Comfort
The cabin is remarkably spacious for such a small car. There is plenty of head room (even with the roof on) for even the tallest driver.
If you have a tall driver, the rear seats are only really suitable for children, or for short journey's though.

Also slightly annoying is the fact that the front seats don't return to the same position when you pull them forward to let somebody into the back.

The boot has a good amount of space, although some of it is taken up if you take the roof all the way down.
As the roof comes down and the boot has a tailgate - its possible to get some very large things in the back. with the rear seats flattened. My Pluriel has carried a double wardrobe on more than one occasion.

Roof
The electric roof has been fine for me, with no leaks and no problems using it over winter.
The roof has 4 configurations:
1) Fully on
2) Sliding electric roof can be put back to one of about 6 stages.
3) Roof and rear window can be removed and put in the boot.
4) Side roof pillars can be removed (they have to be left behind) leaving the car as a spider rather than a cabriolet.

The first three methods are all really easy to do, and work very well. Removing the roof pillars (4) is a little more fiddly, as they are quite awkward to manouvre. As you have to leave them at home its not possible to put the roof back up should the weather change. This means that its not often worth removing the pillars completely, which is a bit of a shame as the car looks at its best in this configuration.

Build Quality
My car has mostly been fine, but there have been a couple of glitches with screws working loose on the interior trim. Mechanically everything has been fine, but the finishing touches are certainly not the best that money can buy. Also my aerial fell off as it hadn't been correctly tightened and it took me a while to find a dealer who had one in stock
