After having had my Xantia for over 4 years, I just had to get rid of it! As the car gets older, more problems exist, in particular the small plastic link for the suspension, which my mechanic informs me only costs 40p but takes over 3 hours of labour to replace! This is the link responsible fo rsetting the hydraulics at the rear of the car, and if broken, will not raise or lower the height of the car. Be careful with this as it is a common problem and can be exensive after a while. I also would say that teh costs relating to the servicing of the Xantia are inappropriate for a mid-table family saloon, if you compare with the servicing of a mondeo or vectra. be warned, these are expensive cars to maintain.
