I have had a Citreon Xsara Est 1.9DX for 16 months as a company car. In total we have approximately 10 of these vehicles at my work as company cars so this review should give quite a good insight into the car.

The car itself is quite a nice looking car from the outside it has quite a nice curved bodyshape and with a set of alloy wheel certainly looks quite good. The car is spacious in-side with room for 3 adults in the rear. The boot ... ...seats in the back fold down when required to give a large storage area. The interior is nice enought inside with several cubby holes located around the cabin for storage. The dash itself is pretty standard however there are indigo lights which light up the display which is quite a nice touch. The current model I have has a 10 disc CD changer which is an extra however the basic standard stero is of a high standard and does sound good.

The car itself is quite a nice looking car from the outside it has quite a nice curved bodyshape and with a set of alloy wheel certainly looks quite good. The car is spacious in-side with room for 3 adults in the rear. The boot is large and cetainly ample for large shopping trips. The main complaint I would have about the interior is that it`s very plastically there is nothing about this interior which is stylish or gives the car any kind of luxury feel just your bog standard plain plastically interior.
The 90bhp car drives well enough. The drive is smooth and the performance is good enough although a bit more power would be useful sometimes especially when over taking. I think the 0-60 is approx 12.5secs. One main asset of the Zsara is that in terms of mpg you should expect to achieve appox 50mpg.
I have had the car from new and at present the mileage is approx 40,000. The car has been serviced at all the correct intervals and the local dealer tends to be pretty good.
The main concern I have with this car is the number of niggly faults that have been experienced with it.
1. The central locking system has failed twice and has require components to be changed.
2. The resister control on the internal fan has failed and again has had to be changed.
3. Across the cars in my work the majority have experienced a number of similar faults and as a result I think every car has spent a number of days in the garage over the 16 month period.
I know that its expected there may be a few teething problems however the Citreon has had a few too many for my liking.
It is a decent car for the price but in my opinion I`m sure there are better alternatives.
