Had a Picasso for just under 3 years. I purchased it because I had my third child and needed a car which would be practical with three car seats. The Picasso is great for this, especially because there is no "bump" in front of the middle back seat which means whoever sits in the middle can put their feet down flat on the floor and the kids can walk through from one side of the car to the other easily.
There are tables on the back seats which were great to put a portable DVD player on when on long journeys. The three back seats can all be individual moved/removed. The only problem I found was that the seat belts are very low down in the seats and with three car seats this can be a bit tricky. You would need to buy narrow car seats to make it easier for belt fastening.
The driving position is lovely and high with light handling. The back seats are great when removed as they provide so much space to transport large items - as good as a small van. The only downfall I found with the driving/handling was that the side front windows are split and this can create a slight blind spot which caught me out on a few occasions. Also, I really found that the car was very rocky when driven at speeds in windy conditions (and I'm not talking 90mph) and this made the car feel a little unsafe.
The diesel we had was also very good on fuel and the cheap car tax was even better (£95 for a full year).
The car was reliable and we had no major problems with servicing etc. However, when we had had the car only a few weeks the lights on the dashboard went off, together with the controls on the steering wheel and we were told that this was due to the Instrument Cluster breaking (a very small component with a big price of £475) and this can only be fixed by a Citroen dealer.
Would I recommend a Picasso? Yes, I would. We have now bought a Mercedes M Class with 7 seats but it is no where near as luxurious and practical as the Picasso and I really miss being able to turn up my volume on the steering wheel when the kids start playing up!

Interesting thing with French cars - the results of a recent survey of people who have owned a car for at least a year (and the car is less than three years old), that was conducted earlier this year showed that within the bottom ten cars, eight were from French manufacturers! You must have been one of the few lucky ones - thanks for the review...!

A good first review, welcome. I would say the Merc M class had far better features than the Citroen.
Advantages: Space inside for all of us and for the pushchair and my mums wheelchair as well. Disadvantages: Always in the garage for various electrical problems.
