Civilization 2 (PC)

I agree totally that the game-play for any game is of the utmost importance, but being the sequel, I would have expected substantial improvements to the graphics, even later versions have the same poor graphics. Advantages: Outstanding playability, very addictive, good features, has stood the "test of time". Classic.
Disadvantages: Diplomacy system could be better, animations were better in the original Civ.

I suspect that many if not most of you will have played Civilisation II, and being as it was released some 4 or 5 years ago there will be few people interested in the genre who have not purchased this game. Civilisation II could well be the greatest strategy computer game ever invented. The brainchild of Sid Meier this game allows you to oversee and run the development of a civilisation from it's foundation until 2020, or before if you conquer the entire globe or succeed in the space race.
