Advantages: graphics, soundtrack, gameplay, multiplayer Disadvantages: takes lots of time, needs some time to learn
Civilization4 is a great sequel to some of the best turn-based strategy computer games in the history. The game already has got two expansions, Warlords and Beyond the Sword. This game is all about empire building, but its quite different from the games like Caesar, Zeus and Cleopatra. This one seems to give more importance to the combat version, but not as much as the Age of Wonders do. This means that Civilization is a different type of strategy game and needs some attention to play this game in the right way. This game is huge with those expansions installed, and there are loads of things to do in this game.

Advantages: massive, huge gameplay, perfectly ballanced Disadvantages: takes a lot of time to learn how to play
Civilization is one of the best strategy games, TBS. The gameplay here is very massive, so that someone new will learn how to play in 2-3 days, but it worth it. One game here takes 10 hours of playing, and it is very likely that player could not stop all these 10 hours. Thing is, you can play any part of gameplay you like and youmay not play the part you dont. And there are a lot of parts it gameplay. While bilding your own civilization, you can trade with others civ`s, make pease or war and even some kind of cold war, when you and your opponent is trying to make goon relations with most other civ`s to make them join war on your side. In war, you might notice traditional wargame`s rule: pikeman good vs kavalery but weak vs archer, kavalery good vs archer but weak vs pikeman, archer good vs pikeman but weak vs kavalery. So, you will have ...

Introduction
Civilisation IV is, unsuprisingly, the fourth in the well known series by Sid Meir. The game sees you try to build a civilisation from 4000BC through to 2050AD and dominate your neighbours through a combination of military, cultural, diplomatic and technological means.
Gameplay
The game is turn based and each of your units have a movement rating that allows you to move a certain number of spaces (tiles) per turn. You begin with a single settler on the map with most of the area blacked out until it is explored, this settler can be used to make your first city.
Cities
The first thing you will do is look to place this city in a good location. Each of the tiles on the map is a different type of land which gives varying benifits to your city. The different types are: Plains, Grassland, Desert, Tundra, Hill ...

Manufacturer's product description
Civilization has been the PC's premier turn-based strategy series now for over a decade, offering you near infinite freedom to create and nurture your own society and conquer the world through either military might or cultural influence. For many though it's always been overly tempting to rely on warfare not words, so this expansion pack has been created specifically to encourage more peaceful means of domination. It also focuses on expanding the options for playing the game in the time period after the invention of gunpowder. This means it is now possible to achieve a diplomatic victory much earlier in the game, while at the same time making space victories more difficult because of the more complex requirements. In keeping with the modern theme the concept of global corporations is also introduced into the gameplay, which works similarly to Civilization IV's use of religion, except this time your people spreads economic benefits in exchange for specific resources. Other tweaks include expanded espionage options to stir up an enemy's population, and SimCity style random disasters. That's all on top of the expected addition of new civilisations (ten new ones, from the Dutch and Portuguese to the Babylonians and Mayans), six new leaders (including Abraham Lincoln, Boudica and Charles de Gaulle) and eleven new historical scenarios. In this sense the expansion has the best of both worlds, with all the expected new content and gameplay options but also a fundamental change to the way you play, and win, the game. Harrison DentSid Meier's Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword is the second expansion pack for the definitive strategy title Civilization IV - the 2005 PC Game of the Year and world-wide hit. Focusing on the late-game time periods after the invention of gunpowder, the expansion will deliver more epic game and scenario content than any Civ expansion pack in the history of the series. Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword will contain 12 amazingly unique and challenging scenarios created by the development team at Firaxis, as well as some esteemed members of the Civ Community. In addition, ten new civilizations, sixteen new leaders, five new wonders, a variety of new units and several new gameplay innovations will offer players even more strategic options for expanding their civilisation's power as they strive for world domination.
