Advantages: lovely chair! baby likes it, soothing and gets her off to sleep Disadvantages: batteries run out too quickly!! toy bar makes it difficult to pick baby up from chair easily
...I purchased the Cosatto Rock-a-bye activity cradle for my little one before she was even born. I think I was about 6 months pregnant! My baby Charlotte is now 6 weeks old and she loves her activity cradle. It was definately a good purchase as it is used daily.
Basically it is a rocker chair for babies - made by Cosatto - one of the leading nursery specialists. It's definately a name you can trust. They also make cots, puschairs etc.
The chair is cream and grey in colour - one of the reasons I bought it as it was fairly neutral and didn't find out the sex of the baby before she was born. It is luxurious and padded and made from a lovely fleecey fabric. It is beautifully soft. The cover can be removed for washing too.

Advantages: well padded and comfortable Disadvantages: very expensive and broke within 10 weeks
...After having had this cradle for ten weeks (and only having used it on a handful of occasions) the cradle has broken. This cradle boasts a three position recliner action. However the plastic which holds the back in such positions has snapped and as a result the chair is now completely unusable. For a product that costs £69.00 (the toy bar is a extra £14.00) you would expect better!!! Mamas and Papas after sales service was just as bad - all they offered was a replacement frame at a cost of £50.00. Also this chair is only suitable up to 6 months - there are many out there that last longer. I have found one for £65.00 which lasts until your child is two years old....

Advantages: Lightweight, Comfortable, Adjustable Backrest Disadvantages: Not the cheapest rocker
...with a head hugger for added support for young babies and is very well padded. The two carry handles are superb for lifting the cradle which is extremley lightweight in itself. Storage is also not a problem as the whole unit folds flat on itself when not in use.
At around £69 this rocker is not the cheapest on the market but you are getting a top quality product with good padding, support and a luxury feel about it. It was used all of the time in our house for the first 6 months of our daughters life and still looks like brand new. Would certainly recommend this product to anyone.
