Clairol Daily Defense 3 Shampoo

I first bought this shampoo because of the packaging and the advertising. Yes, I'm the person who actually falls for all those ploys. Clairol's Daily Defense is supposed to protect "from everyday environmental and styling stresses". Now, seeing as I a) living in central London (pollution AND hard water), b) dye my hair every 4-5 weeks and c)blow-dry my hair with the heat of a minor nuclear explosion every morning (I know it's bad for it but it's the only way I can make it behave), this seemed like a good idea. If you have read my other opinions on shampoo you'll probably have gathered that I'm a bit of a B.O.G.O.F ( buy one get one free) fan. I readily admit that this was how I first tried out Clairols Daily Defense. Clairol Daily defense comes in 4 different hair formulations so there is bound to be one that is suitable for your hair type. The second op for my hair theme is this shampoo that is made by the same company as the herbal essences root lifter.I've just coloured my hair so I was looking for a shampoo that would look after my newly coloured hair.That's when my parents brought this home from shopping. I had high expectations of this shampoo when I first used it as i was a big fan of Clairol's herbal essences. I was totally disapponted with the Daily Defense though. The product itself looks really good and I especially liked the bottle it is in. However, I was very disappointed when I used the shampoo. Firstly, the smell is terrible. I do not know how thought that this would be a good smell for a shampoo but it really is awful and I do not want my hair to smell of this for the rest of the day. I first used this shampoo when it came out a few years ago (though can’t give exact dates-obvious reasons). I happened to find it in the bathroom after my Mum had bought 8 bottles in a “buy one get one free” in Boots. In Boots the normal price is approximately £2.99 but I will double-check that one for you. It's brilliant value if you can get it on a “buy one get one free” though it lasts me forever (approximately 3 to 4 months-wash my hair daily) if it's only me using it.
