Well by now Ciao must know about most of my washing routine... so what harm will another hair product op do heh...
Today I present to you my present daily conditioner Herbal Essences... The variety I have says that it "protects coloured/ permed/ dry/ damaged Hair". Well... bits of my hair is coloured... It is NOT permed but I have a natural curl... It has a tendancy to become dry...although I don't think it is damaged... 2/4 ain't bad! The bottle also says that it contains Thyme, Wheat germ oil and Vitamin E and mountain spring water... ooo-oo-ooo.
I will start with one of my main gripes about this product... The packaging... Firstly it has an Opaque bottle which means that the only way you can tell how much you have left is by weight and blind guesswork! C'mon Clairol people... If you want us to buy another bottle when this one is finished then you have to help us out when we try to figure out how close we are to the end of the bottle! My other gripe is also related to the packaging... Once you get about halfway through the bottle then it takes a while and a bit of persuasion to get this stuff out of the bottle. When I am showering in the morning I don't want to get up 30 mins earlier just so that I can wait till my conditioner wants to get out of the bottle!
Right that's the moan out of the way... aside from that the conditioner was very nice. It is a creamy beige colour and smells all herby. It is a very pleasant smell when you put it on your hair and quite inoffensive at the same time. It is quite an invigorating smell to fill your shower with if you are a morning hair washer. The smell itself is not hugely long lasting. No more than most other conditioners on the market. As it is herby rather than fruity or bubblegum-ey it remains quite an adult smell which, I think, is a bonus if you are in the workplace!
The consistency of the conditioner is good. It is not as thick as some other conditioners, so why there is such a drama getting it out of the bottle I don't know! But it is thick enough to not drip and to smooth onto your hair nicely.
Personally I quite like to leave wash my body whilst I have the conditioner on my hair so I can leave it for a short while. I have never had any trouble with it getting into my eyes or dripping! I would add that there is very little difference, if any, between the state of my hair if I put this on and rinse off immediately or after a few minutes, My washing method is just a force of habit!
As you smooth the conditioner over your hair it glides nicely and spreads well. Washing off takes very little time and as you rinse it out you can feel your hair being all slinky. As ever, this slinkiness is less when your hair is dry but there is still shine and smoothness that you would not get without conditioner.
Whilst I liked the effects of this conditioner there was nothing too special about it. If you are thinking of trying it then I suggest you have a little sniff first and see if you like the smell as that is the most defining feature of this product.
I would also mention that I live in a hard water area so your results may vary if you live in a soft water area.
As with the shampoo there were no spontaneous orgasms. I don't know what the woman in the advert does with these products for that effect but she certainly isn't *just* washing her hair.
Available in 250mls (£2.25ish) and 400mls (£3.50ish) but keep an eye out for special offers on this product. Clairol are launching Fruit Fusions as part of the Herbal Essences line so there are lots of offers on the whole range in the usual places. I just bought the Fruit stuff so I'll keep you posted as to whether it is any good!

Review of Clairol Herbal Essences Conditioner Coloured/Permed/Dry/Damaged
Advantages: smells beautiful and leaves your hair gorgeous to touch Disadvantages: can leave your hair greasy
Clairol Herbal Essences conditioner
As I said in my Clairol Herbal Essences shampoo opinion, I bought this because it was on a ‘buy one get one free’ offer. However it does cost £2.19 on its own for 250ml. You can buy it for many different hair types but I bought the dry/damaged version as my hair does get quite a lot of abuse from me!!!
The conditioner doesn’t come in a funky bottle as the shampoo comes in but it comes in a baby pink bottle with ... ...The bottle is made from 25% post consumer recycled plastic and it is recyclable so for those who recycle, its something else you can take down to the recycle bins
The conditioner contains natural thyme, wheat germ oil and vitamin E. They are added into natural mountain spring water so it’s all pretty organic. All the herbs and botanicals are grown under certified organic conditions so no petrochemicals or pesticides are used which could cause damage ...

Advantages: Smells really nice, and I mean 'really'. Disadvantages: Lame adverts.
Yes, I admit it! I’m a serial hair abuser. My hair is coloured. I use a hairdryer all the time. I’m just too impatient to wait for it to dry on it’s own. On top of that, I have fine hair, so I’m expecting a lot from a conditioner.
For years I’ve used Body Shop Banana conditioner and been happy with the results. I have rather dry, sensitive skin, so I’ve always had to be careful what products I use. I wasn’t looking to change conditioners, but, in ... ...wasn’t going shopping again for at least a week. Too long to survive without washing my hair, so I went to the local convenience store. There I came upon Herbal Essences for Coloured/ Permed/ Dry/ Damaged/ Abused/ Mis- Handled/ Neglected/ Badly Treated/ Unappreciated Hair. OK, so I added a few of my own but you get the idea.
250ml cost me £2.19. My Body Shop stuff now costs £4 for the same amount but I can dilute it, so it probably works out much ...

I've done a review of the Herbal Essences shampoo and thought I aught to do one of its partner, the conditioner. This is my favourite conditioner, I've probably used it for longer than any other conditioner I have bought and don't see myself wanting to try a new one ever. Admittedly I do use the herbal essences intensive conditioner once a week, as a treat for my hair, but this is the best everyday (or every other day in my case) conditioner I have ... ...have long hair, about half way down my back, and it tends to get very dry at the ends so I always chose shampoo and conditioners specifically designed for dry hair. The protection conditioner is aimed at coloured, permed, dry or damaged hair and whilst my hair is not coloured or permed I would agree on the dry, and possibly on the damaged side. I often find that conditioners for dry hair just don't moisturise my hair enough (is that a term you can ...

I can't believe that I haven't written about this conditioner (or the shampoo for that matter) before now and as I have been on here nearly two years and this is my favourite brand of shampoo and conditioner.
First let me tell you what the bottle looks like and says on it, well it is opaque and very pale pink with a dark forest green top that is easy to open and has only come off once in the many years I have been using this product. On the front ... ...shine complex" and "protects coloured/Permed/Dry/Damaged hair" also "with thyme, wheat germ oil and vitamin E in mountain spring water" well I think this sounds nice. On the back it goes into more detail about the above and gives you directions on how to use it too "apply to wet hair, leave on as desired and rinse thoroughly."
This is my favourite and as such I keep coming back to it. It smells so great and looks good too because, being pink, it ...
