Would I use Clairol Herbal Essences again? Yes, I would it actually was nice to use and I like how my hair feels now.

Have you ever noticed how without even thinking about it we start making routines? More and more I am discovering that I am a creature of habit. It annoys me that without even knowing it I am becoming or have become predictable.
Thursday is a nice bit of telly on the old box and I have got into the habit of watching "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Friends" and the new series, "Scrubs." To be honest it is probably the best nights television there is. So imagine me sitting down to watch the first of these and feeling tired. To be honest so tired that I only woke up when I snorted myself awake! Very undignified!
I knew that I was too tired to watch telly so rather than sleep, I decided on a bath. I'm not one of these people that uses crystals and bath salts so I just ensured the water was nice and hot and eased myself in with just a few obligatory sighs when the warmth hit certain mandatory locations.
There is something sublime about soaking in a bath. It seems to allow all of the days aches and pains to be washed away with life's dirt. I found my eyes searching through the hundreds of different bottles that litter all of the bathrooms surfaces. Jackie loves trying out new products and seems to have an eye for what will feel good or smell good. My eyes were searching for my normal slap it on lather it up shampoo. I think its called something like "Baldies Pretence!" Being thin, nay sparse on top I really cannot see the reason to use nice products on my hair but just this once decided to pamper myself and use one of Jackies.
My eyes alighted on a bottle that seemed near the end of its usefulness with just a little bit remaining in the bottom. I couldn't really tell you my reasons for picking that particular bottle. It could well have been to use up the last few drops or it could have been the style of the bottle itself.

The shampoo itself was a champagne colour so it must have looked quite impressive when full. They are pleased with the Herbal Essences bit as it is mentioned twice in the front. It also claims to be STEP 1 BODY BOOST SHAMPOO.
~*~ Ingredients ~*~ *************** Well obviously it contains 250 ml of shampoo but what is this shampoo made of? Organic? That sounds dodgy in the bath. Oh, O R G A N I C ! Whew, that was a relief. Mountain spring water (aqua), chrysanthemum, orange blossom and caraway make up the main ingredients. There are a further 25 odd weird named components that make up this shampoo. I could list them all but they really are obscure but it does say plant-derived ingredients. I suppose they are being a little secretive at the moment because it does claim that there is a patent pending. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more!
~*~ The Product Test ~*~ ********************** Now at the time of using this shampoo I did not know if it had been tested on animals. I would imagine not as Jackie is pretty hot on this subject. I trust her to have checked.
Has anyone else noticed how difficult it is to get the last bits of shampoo out of a bottle? The thickness of the substance doesn't help. With much shaking and swearing I did manage to get a fair amount into my hand. The first thing I noted was the essence. It has a very nice odour. To me the fragrance was slightly like cut apples but maybe it was a mixture of the chrysanthemum, and orange blossom. Whatever it is I like it. It reminded me of when I was a kid, of summer days scrumping apples from the farm down the road. God, do we ever have days like that now? Were they really that bright, clear and fresh?
The shampoo lathered up well. I didn't use much and still it felt thick and soft. It does claim to be for all hair types so I guess I was the ultimate test! Not only that but the patent is pending because the shampoo increases the thickness of the hair for maximum volume and body.
~*~ Intermission ~*~
Sorry I had a quick run upstairs to the mirror. I can honestly state that I do not see any difference. My pate still looks like I was scalped by Mohicans. Still I hear the Mr Baldie look is coming in in Bradford. Its not? Damn! Still I prefer to think my hairstyle is more Phil Mitchell rather than MR Afflicted.
Whatever the shampoo worked well it was squeaky clean. I was once informed that you know when your hair is clean because it squeaks, so I got some out of the drain and tested it! It squeaked.
~*~ Conclusion ~*~ ****************** The product is a winner. My hair feels soft and smells nice. It is slightly fly away. Keeps flying away and not coming back, but good. Does it have more body? I don't know. For me that would be the impossible. One day I hope to test a rejuvenation gel but knowing my luck the hair will stay the same and the dandruff will come back.
Would I use Clairol Herbal Essences again? Yes, I would it actually was nice to use and I like how my hair feels now.

As i have extremely fine hair, and hate it, i have a tendancy to buy anything that claims to be volumising or thickening to any extent, so when i saw Herbal Essences Extra Body Shampoo on a BOGOF offer, i jumped at the chance to try it, bought 2 bottles and ran (not literally, but i was rather keen to get there) home to try it out. I had used other Herbal Essences shampoos in the past, and although they had not been right for my hair, i remember ... ...if this one could live up to the same high standards AND give my hair more volume, i would be extremely impressed.
When i got home with my new shampoo, i took a closer look at the bottle. It's a see-through bottle with the orange liquid inside showing through.
The sticker on the front is also transparent, with the writing printed on top of it, contributing to the clean look of the bottle. This sticker shows the Herbal Essences logo, aswell as stating ...

Advantages: Keeps your hair healthy Disadvantages: May not be suitable for dry hair.
I came across this product by chance and since then this shampoo has become one of my many favourites. I am very happy using this shampoo. It improved my hair and kept it pretty healthy sans dandruff. ------------------------------------------------------

I have oily hair and I need something mild for the hair as I wash my hair frequently. I happened to come across this shampoo. ... ...shampoo anyway... And mind you I have not regretted it till date. I am very much interested in other products of this brand. Quality is great. It kept my hair very mildly perfumed and very clean and as promised it added body to my short hair :):).

Advantages: Everything about it is great!! Disadvantages: Can't think of any!!
After seeing herbal essences advertised on the TV, I decided to give it a try. It was priced very reasonably and I chose this type as it was closest to my hair type. The shampoo smelled very nice and was presented well in an attractive bottle. It lathered really well and rinsed easily. Upon drying my hair was really clean and shiny and it smelled realy nice and fresh. The clean feeling lasted throughout the day.

...Essences products are made by Clairol which in turn is a division of Proctor and Gamble based in Weybridge,Surrey.
It comes in 250 ml bottles,made from clear 25% recycled plastic which in turn are recyclable.The adhesive label on the back of the bottle depicts a marigold which is visable through the golden/orange translucent shampoo.
When the bottle is opened ,the first thing that is noticeable is the beautiful smell..A mixture of delicate flora,fruit ... ...was also pleased to note that its consistancy is good...not so thick it wont come out of the bottle,but not so thin that it runs straight off your hair.
Results
This is where I was most pleased.With fresh and clean smelling hair that shined and was full of bounce.I don't think I could actually say that it gave heaps of body,but it did leave my usually lank hair with a fair amount of bounce.
