As we all know I work in boots so I get to see new products as soon as they are available to buy and as we also know - I will try most new products at least once.

I bought 2, the pink one which is pomegranate, lychee and persimmon and the purple one which is blackberry, avocado and mango. I must admit that they all smell the same to me which is unfortunate for the people who don't like the smell but it's good for those who do because there's more chance of you being able to get hold of a bottle.
When I washed my hair with it, it was really silky between my hair and fingers and I only needed to use a small ammount to get it into my hair and do a really deep clean. I like using the conditioner that goes with it but to be honest you don't really need to because the shampoo leaves your hair feeling soft and silky. The smell lasts for a long time (which is amazing as I'm a smoker and that usually fades the smell of shampoo!) and it's really easy to get a brush through your hair whether you brush it when wet or leave it untill it dries naturally.
It comes in a see through bottle with a small sticker on the front with pictures of the fruit in the shampoo and in the inside at the back of the bottle there is a large picture of the fruit which gets clear as the shampoo goes down.

Advantages: nice smell and packaging Disadvantages: not as nice as you would hope
I assume we all know the Herbal Essences adverts.
for those that don't let me explain. There is a lady in the shower, on an aeroplane, walking her dog, just really doing everyday boring tasks. She walks past a water feature, or a public toilet and she feels the need to wash her lank greasy hair straight away! Out comes the Herbal Essences, and with the smells and the wonderful feel of the shampoo, she makes a big fuss like she is mid-orgasm. Then ... ...If only that were true. I had a friend at school who had bad dandruff, and she swore by Herbal Essences saying that it was the only thing that would touch the dreaded condition that so many of us have. I have always been very fussy about my hair products, and have never wanted to steer away from what I had been using.
Last week my sister told me about a new range of Herbal Essences called Fruit Fusions. She said that she had read reviews saying ...

Advantages: gorgeous smell, sleek shiny hair Disadvantages: too much lather, smell fades after blow drying
I decided to buy this as I’d seen the advert on TV. I’m a complete sucker for hair and beauty products and the little monkeys were so cute I went straight out and brought it from Boots and was pleasantly surprised to find it was buy one get one free so I brought the ‘hydrating shampoo’ with blackberry, avocado and mango extracts, which is the purple one and got the conditioner free.
*Packaging*
The shampoo came in a 250ml see-through-bottle, with ... ...written beneath it. At the bottom it clearly states which type of shampoo it is.
*What they say it does*
The hydrating shampoo is for dry/damaged hair and they say it replenishes moisture and shine. They say it will ‘invigorate your hair to a soft, silky shine’ and that it will ‘infuse much needed moisture, replenish hair’s shine and rejuvenate stressed hair’.
*Does it work?*
I made the mistake of applying the usual amount of shampoo that I use ...

Advantages: It smells gorgeous, hair is soft. Disadvantages: Takes about 4 hours to wash out, hair doesn't fell clean.
I guess everyones seen the Herbal Essences Fruit Fusions ad on TV. It makes the shampoo sound pretty nice, right....? Wrong! I stepped into the shower to find this shampoo was not all it's cracked up to be. A tiny bit of shampoo produced loads of foam, which I thought was pretty good, but it was a nightmare to get out and my hair didn't feel very clean afterwards, so, I proceeded to wash my hair TWICE before it even felt moderatly clean! But, despite ... ...eat! After using the shampoo I used the conditioner which seemed pretty good and washed out really easily.
After drying my hair I discovered it was very soft and shiny(probably due to the conditioner, which, as I say was quite good), but quite flat and limp. My highlights also seemed much duller than usual, despite the fact this shampoo is meant to protect your colour. To be honest, the only reason that I would tell anyone to buy this shampoo is ...

Advantages: Smells delicious and wondeful lather Disadvantages: No moisturising benefits for hair, smell only remains during washing
The reason this shampoo smells so good is that the base ingredients in the formulation were specifically chosen for their lack of smell: NOT for their cleansing/moisturising properties. The amount of lather was also specially designed to increase the 'nose' of the fragrance-the amount of lather does not correlate with the effectiveness of a shampoo.
The lather and the fragrance are absolutely superb, which is what most users rate a shampoo on; however ... ...agents present in other shampoos such as Pantene.
The fruit extracts are included mainly to satisfy consumer standards, and aren't proven to look after the hair.
If you're after an amazing shower experience (remember the Herbal Essences adverts!) then this is for you; but if your hair is in need of some TLC treat it to a shampoo with Vitamin complexes or panthenol. ...
