I’m high on herbs. NO, NO, NO. You got it wrong. When I say high,I mean, high because my hair is on the top part of my body. (I shave everywhere else)
The herb part comes from Clairol herbal Essences conditioner.
I am quite sure a few of you know I am a Pantene freak.
Organics was a total waste of time and money for me. Tried it (rubbish) So it was back to pantene.

BUT a few weeks ago I went on one of those freebie sites, were you get free samples, and lo and behold, what came through my letter box last saturday. A free minature bottle of herbal essence conditioner.

After Jamie (my beloved hound) had, had a chew of it (it wasn’t to his liking taste wise) I decided to give it a go.
I will just have to just say, they also sent the shampoo as well.

I’ll first give you a quick description of my hair. Fine, coloured, full of mousse and hairspray. I am at the moment trying to grow it a bit longer, so you can imagine when you get to that in between stage, were it just looks a total mess.

Ok so I opened the shampoo (but I’m not talking about that)and washed my hair.

Now I came to use the conditioner. A pale creamy/ yellowy plastic bottle with a green lid. On the front of the bottle in green writing are the words Clairol Herbal Essences, and other info conditioner/normal hair etc.

I plonk a blob (a creamy/yellowy blob) on to the fingers of my left hand, as you do, I then dip the fingers of my right hand into the blob, I squiggle my fingers together and then reach for the ends of my flowing locks. (yeah right) more like straggly strands.

WARNING::::::::::Don’t put conditioner on your scalp. It is really only meant for the ends of your hair (the dead, dry ends) If you do rub it in all over it tends to drag your hair down. It makes it seem kind of lank and greasy after one day.

Were was I?
Oh yes the conditioner had a pleasant fragrance, a bit like the fresh sea. Surrounded by lush green palm trees. (I know that is an odd way to describe it)

It wasn’t to gloopy, the texture divided up very easily. I mean to say it seemed too coat each strand of hair evenly.

I know you want the results. Yes I could comb my wet hair with no tugging. (I sometimes get knots) When I dried my hair, it seemed to have a thickness and fullness that I don’t often achieve as my hair is so fine.I was well pleased.
Even my hubby said my hair looked more shiny and thicker today. (I was honoured)

I honestly can’t say if it was because I used both the shampoo and conditioner, or whether it was the conditioner alone.

This week when I do my weekly supermarket shop. It will be on my list.

I can’t tell if my hair went in need of a wash, more quickly than when I use Pantene as to me they both seemed equal to each other. I would recommend it though. I will buy it again for sure.

So now I’ll just give a quick run down on other maybe boring to some, facts.

The particular sort I used was for:-

Normal Hair. It did contain natural, organic herbs and botanicals. It did moisturise and condition my hair to a satisfactory level.

What was in it?

Aqua,Cetearyl Alcohol,Behentrimonium Chloride,Cetyl Esters,Dihydroxypropyl PEG-5 Linoleaminium Chloride,Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine,Parfum,DMDM Hydantoin,Citric Acid,Methylparaben,Propylene Glycol,Anthemis Nobilis,Buxus Chinensis,Aloe Barbadensis,Propylparaben,Diazolidinyl Urea,CI 19140,CI 15510.

I know it was not tested on animals.

If you have any queries or complaints contact:-

Bristol Myers Co. Ltd
Uxbridge
UB10 8NSU.K

I think the average price for this, in most major supermarkets is about £2 for a regular size bottle.

As I said I had samples off a freebie site, but this week I will be buying some more.

Thanks for the read. Happy hair days gill.

This sounds really good - I like the Herbal Essences range but I haven't tried this.
