The problem
############
Well.. heres one bad mistake i wish i had never done. Yes, i fell into the trap of the pipe dream... wanting beautiful golden locks, the dreaded blonde. This is the account of my story and how clairol destroyed and finally saved me from looking a rather odd orange/yellow tinged monster.
My natural colour is a hideous mousey blonde/brown, i did do highlights for a few months but wanted something to make more of a statement with my hair. I Initially opted for the cheap superdrug multi tonal highlights of champange blonde. Bad mistake! I ended up looking slightly yellow with a hint of ginger. Not the colour i had been dreaming of. It looked unnatural for me and more yellow. So i waited a couple of weeks, deep conditioning my hair every 3 days and tried a mousey ash blonde from loreal, again ...
Advantages: Looked really natural and was easy to use Disadvantages: Didn't cover all of my hair
Im a natural blonde but my hair gets darker and dull during the winter, I chose to use clairol Nice n Easy because, to be honest, it was the cheapest product there! I chose the lightest blonde I could find and when I used it it turned out brilliant! It looks really natural and it comes with special conditioner that makes your hair really soft and smooth as well as making sure the colour stays in.
I havn't used any other hair colour products before but the instructions were really easy to follow and the results were great. I would definately buy it again when I need to re-do it and would definately recommend it to anyone that is thinking of dying their hair for the first time ! The only thing I would say is that if you have longer hair then buy two packs! ...
Advantages: Fantastic for covering over bleached hair, lasting colour, in-expensive price. Disadvantages: Messy and stains fabric and carpet
, COVER THE FLOOR IF IT'S CARPET! THIS IS A VERY MESSY DYE AND WILL DYE ANYTHING IT LANDS ON. Wipe down any surface if the dye gets onto it as it may colour the surface too. I recommend staying in the bathroom the whole time to avoid any extra mess.
When you wash it off, be careful here also as there's a lot of dye that will be flying about hitting your grouting and shower curtains.. I sat down in the bath, tilted my head forward and used the shower head held close to my head in order to direct it straight down the plughole.
In all, a good dying experience, will use it again, I'm a brunette convert thanks to Clairol's Nice 'n Easy! ...
