Advantages Cleanses well. A little goes a long way. Keeps skin healthy and well balanced.
Disadvantages Can make skin feel dry. Expensive.
I am generally a big fan of the Clarins range and although most Clarins products do tend to be fairly expensive, I believe they are quality products and I'm willing to pay that little bit extra to get such quality. I have used Clarins Foaming Cleaner off and on for about the last ten years and so I do have a lot of experience in using this product. I usually buy my Clarins Cleanser from Boots and it costs £17.00 for a 125ml bottle - which usually lasts me about a month or so. As I said, there are less expensive cleansers available, but I do think this is one of the higher quality products.
When using the cleanser, I squeeze a little bit of it into my hand and then mixing it with a little warm water so that it foams up in the palm of my hand. I then apply it all over my face, apart from around my eyes, and then use circular motions to rub the cleanser into my skin. I think the foaming aspect of it allows the cleanser to be spread quite thinly over my skin and so a little goes a long way. I rub the cleanser onto my face for about a minute and then I rinse off with warm water. I find the cleanser rinses off easily and there doesn't feel that there is any residue left after a quick rinse. After using it, my skin feels clean and refreshed. It does feel a little dry after using it, but I find that is true of all cleansers, and as soon as I moisturize afterwards then this effect has gone.
I am lucky that I have good skin - and I think that part of this is down to the fact that I do use such high quality skin care products. I have, in the past, experimented with less high quality cleansers and I have found that I'm much more prone to getting greasy skin and spots when I use them, yet when I use Clarins Foaming Cleanser I find my skin balance feels right - and I don't get spots or patches of dry skin. I do highly recommend using this product.
