ingredients, including extract of Buchu Leaf, the Gentle Care Cream Deodorant is a true skincare treatment for all skin types, even the most sensitive. Long-lasting and ultra-gentle, perspiration is slowed down without blocking the skin's natural processess, whilst odours are prevented and neutralised. The super-sensitive skin of the under-arm benefits too from soothing and softening ingredients, making it perfect for use even after waxing. Quick-drying, non-sticky and invigorating thanks to essential oils of Geranium and Ylang-ylang. For delicate skin. Buchu Leaf: antibacterial and antiseptic properties. For the first time in cosmetics, Clarins uses these small, light green leaves which contain tiny pockets filled with essential oils.Anti-perspirant Aluminium Chlorohydrate: reduces pore size, not blocks them.Farnesol: deodorises. Traditionally, African fishermen rub these leaves between their hands to remove fish odour. It neutralises the bacteria responsible for the formation of odours while respecting the skin's natural balance.Witch Hazel extract: tightens pores and reduces perspiration flow, while refreshing the skin and protecting against free radicals.Rosemary extract: soothes.

- Linseed (Alleviates,Protects)
I like the fact that there are vitamins in it, but I think that the linseed and vegetal complex block ... ...as the Day Cream, which I think is a bit of a con. I will carry on using it until it runs out (which should be about 6 months), but I'll be trying something else out afterwards! It costs £30 for 50ml from all Clarins counters.
I bought this quite recently after loving the day cream of this range so much. I thought that it'd be cool to have the set, and I did need a night cream anyway.
This night cream comes basically in the same packaging as the day cream equivalent; white and orange tub, with an applicator so that bacteria doesn't breed in it, like with the Creme De La Mer. I thought that this was a good idea, but can't really be bothered to use it!
The box states that it:
-Calms sensation of skin discomfort. -Optimises the benefits of "beauty sleep" to strengthen skin and combats free radicals. -Moisturises and softens. -On waking skin is soothed, soft and radiant.
This sounded perfect for me because I heard that when you sleep, it's the best time to put on treatment for your skin because your pores become more receptive. However, Eve Lom thinks that you should leave your skin free from everything at night, and because I love her, I alternate!
Well, when I first used it I thought it didn't seem to calm anything down much, though I didn't exactly have a rash or anything-I expected something refreshing or cooling, but there was nothing. It definitely does make your skin more moisturised and combats dehydration, as stated, though I did not see or feel much of a difference.

I like the fact that there are vitamins in it, but I think that the linseed and vegetal complex block pores and make oily skin worse.
Overall, I would not recommend it because it is expensive and does not do much to make a difference to your skin. The consistency is not as thick as other night creams i have tried; I can't tell much of a difference because this and the day cream equivalent! It absorbs pretty easily, but if you have oily skin, it will take longer to sink it. I like the smell a lot because it is perfumed, though I think that this might irritate very sensitive skins, which is odd because this is designed for those with sensitive complexions. I think that it is a good idea to use a night cream from an early age because it'll help later in life (hopefully!).
However, I have not noticed at short-term results-my skin feels the same upon waking up. I wanted it to feel softer in the mornings, but nothing was different after a few weeks of using it! I would prefer it to be of a much thicker consistency than it is, because it's practically the same as the Day Cream, which I think is a bit of a con. I will carry on using it until it runs out (which should be about 6 months), but I'll be trying something else out afterwards! It costs £30 for 50ml from all Clarins counters.
Advantages: Moisturises your skin as you sleep. Disadvantages: Cost
...I always used to buy Clarins products but as age crept up on me as did bills, mortgages etc I decided to look for more reasonably priced products which in my opinion do very much the same as this......in my view you are paying for the name.
Anyway, this 50ml tub cost £22.50 in Aug 2005 and I have recently browsed through the Clarins counters and it's ranges from £26 to £30 in department stores. Very expensive but great for anyone who has lots of ... ...much you have left. Clarins describe this tub as an 'airless' jar that keeps out both air and light which protects the product's pureness and effectiveness. **********************************************************************

Advantages: None for me - may be useful for people with less sensitive skin. Disadvantages: Irritated my skin and was not easily absorbed.
...double-walled tub with the classic Clarins colouring - pale pink top with elegant gold decoration and red writing. A standard tub contains 50ml (1.7 oz) - I'm not sure how long this would last as I donated the cream to my mother after a few weeks! The tub came with a free plastic spatula for hygienic application. While this cream may work well for people with less sensitive skin I cannot recommend it for people whose skin reacts easily, especially ...
