My hands are very dry usually and I tend to neglect them really. I don't particularly like the greasy feeling and as I am always doing something I do not really have the time to wait for them to dry! I do a lot of climbing and exercising and find that I get quite a few callouses on my palm near my fingers. The rowing machine and rope climber I use really take it out of my skin. Not only this, the skin on the side of my nails gets so dry that it often peels off, leaving the skin underneath quite sore. This is not a very attractive look and after much complaining I was bought the Clarins hand cream.

This product costs around £14.00 from the Clarins counters and comes in the 150ml size. Not much for your money but it is the perfect size for a handbag!
The thick moisturiser comes in White tube with a cap on the end. The tube is easy to squirt but on the same token, the bottle is controllable.
The actual hand cream is thick and yellow in colour. There is no particular scent to it, but I think you can still a little bit of the Shea butter which smells a bit like macadamia nuts. Shea butter is use as it has great moisturising properties and it is a natural ingredient. The product also contains sesame seed oil, Japanese mulberry, condurango bark and myrrh extract. These natural ingredients help to heal damaged skin as well as moisturising it.
I have fallen in love with this product because it is a pleasure to rub into my hands. I use a very small amount; around the size of my little finger nail and work it in to my skin and nails. Using only a small amount means that I never have to suffer that dreadful feeling of having greasy hands!
Since using the product I have noticed a significant improvement in the health of my hands. My skin feels and looks better and my nails look conditioned.
Although the product is expensive, you only need a very small amount to make your hands feel wonderful. The moisturiser is quite thick and very smooth. Due to this, it is easy to rub in and it soaks in straight away, meaning I can get on with whatever I am doing at the time. It doesn't leave that greasy, slippy hand feeling; making it perfect for use at work when I need to type and hold things. When I have time, for an extra little treat I like to massage it deep into my cuticles to help the health of my hails. This is best performed just before going to bed and leaving it to work into the skin and nails over night.
The callouses on my hands are still there, but they do not peel or flake as often. My hands feel softer and smoother rather than chapped and flaky.
I would recommend this product to anyone who has not had much luck with other hand creams. It is quite expensive but the tube is lasting me ages and I seem to be always applying it! I like the fact that it doesn't have much of a smell today and like the fact that it soaks in quickly without being greasy.
