I am a big fan of Clarins products but find them far too expensive to buy them as often as I would like, they tend to be essential items or bought as treats after a busy month at work. After a hectic time at work where I was working 12 hour days my eyes resembled something from a horror film, they were red, puffy and had deep dark bags underneath making me look something similar to my 70 year old grandma and I knew it was time to try something and Clarins Eye Contour Gel came to my rescue, but it came at a price. £15.99 for a small tube of the gel. When you first use the gel you notice the lack of fragrance and the fact that it seems to slip straight off your fingers it is that watery! A Whiff of Clarins!

Advantages: Some might like the clarins smell, the smell lasts (can be good or bad), softens skin
Disadvantages: Not great for really dry skin, smell can be overpowering, expensive

moisturiser but one of my colleagues had brought in this lotion, she had been given it as a present but had to stop using it as it was aggravating her eczema. So my patients have been treated to Clarins products on their hands, which is probably a bit lost on most of the men! I have in between using it for therapy also applied some on my own skin. At first I really liked it but now I find the smell just far too strong. Even after you have washed your hands several times you can still smell it. After applying it when you walk into a room people comment on the perfume you are wearing. Sometimes this might be a good thing but I find I would prefer it to be a little less strong. However if you are a big fan of the Eau Ressourcante fragrance then this might be a great product for you. Personally I wouldn?t buy this one for myself its just far ...

Clinique Moisture Surge Eye Gel

Advantages: Reduces dark circles&puffiness, lasts for ages
Disadvantages: Expensive

I got this as a sample from my friend who works on the Clinique counter in Selfridges. She gave me a few little pots of it so I've been using them for a few months now. Apparently they are the same kind of pots you get in some Clinique sets or the bonus time sets. Packaging They are tiny clear pots of 10ml with a green lid and Clinique printed on the side. But the actual eye gel comes in a 15ml tube, and I think is around £20. My Experience The gel looks really nice, it's like a pink/orange colour. It doesn't really have any smell, a bit like many of the other Clinique products. I do generally prefer things to have a [preferably nice] smell but I think fragrance-free quite suits Clinique's simple fresh products, making them seem more clean.
