The cleanser comes with orange extract and is meant to 'renew radiance'.
The bottle is quite a simple design. It is made of see-through clouded white plastic with a red 'Clarins' logo at the stop of the bottle. It then has the name of the cleanser in French and then underneath that 'One Step Facial Cleanser With Orange Extracts'. The bottle has a white plastic lid which twists off and the cleanser comes of a spout at the top of the bottle.
Since the cleanser comes out of a tiny hole at the top of the bottle then it is easy to control how much comes out of it so you don't use too much.
The cleanser is 'dual action', it has two different layers of actual liquid. The liquid is really runny, the same consistency as water. The bottom layer of liquid is an orange colour and the upper layer is clear. This means you have to make sure to shake the bottle before you use it, else you will just be using the top layer all the time (I kept making that mistake to begin with!)
The cleanser is really easy to use. You shake the bottle so that the two layers mix together and then simply squirt the cleanser on to a cotton wool ball and wipe your face with it. You don't have to wash it off so it is quick and easy to use. I then follow it with my normal moisturiser.
The cleanser is suitable for all skin types, but I found that after I applied this to my skin, my skin just felt like a thick layer of oil.. this does sink in eventually and doesn't feel as oily afterwards, but this takes about 5 minutes (which actually doesn't make cleanser and toning in one step that much quicker than doing them both separately since you have to wait for it to sink in before you apply your moisturiser) I really don't like how it feels. It says it is suitable for all skin types but I think if your skin is particularly oily, I don't think putting something on your skin that makes it feel even oilier is that good.
The cleanser is gentle and didn't irritate my skin, but I just didn't like the oily feeling it gave me right after I used it. It did make my skin feel soft afterwards, but I just couldn't shake that oily feeling off!
The cleanser is to be used up within 12 months of being opened.
Although I bought this in duty free (I can't remember how much I paid for it) it is available from Boots for £16 for a 200ml bottle.
It was good trying something new since I hadn't tried this before, but I won't be buying another one once this runs out. To tell the truth I am just using it to use it all up since I don't want it going to waste. This isn't the cleanser/toner for me at all. I just can't get over the initial oiliness. A pretty disappointing buy really!
Clarins is a French family-run company that started in 1954 and now distribute their products in over 150 countries with a turnover of €900,000,000. With over 40 years in the beauty industry, this company's name is recognised by women everywhere and has become a trusted firm favourite with celebrities and ordinary women alike.
Clarins skincare is famed worldwide and is a popular choice in the beauty therapy world, with their products being used ... ...a cheap beauty house, with Clarins One Step Facial Cleanser costing a cool £15.00 for a 200ml bottle. I don't mind paying a lot of money for skincare products, as long as they are worth it. We only have one skin and I firmly believe you should take good care of it, especially your face as it's always braving the elements.
Every day I like to cleanse, tone and moisturise my face thoroughly. Except when I'm coming home after a night out on the tiles, ...

Advantages: One step and easy to use Disadvantages: Can't use it around your eye area
...begin? I headed for the Clarins counter, the lady there was extremely helpful in suggesting the correct product for my skin type. My skin is combination, but does tend to have the odd occasional break out of spots/pimples. She directed me to their new product the One Step Cleanser. Its a cleanser and toner in one. As this was new to me I asked her what I thought was a really dumb question - What does a toner do? She answered with it removes any cleanser ... ...noted that it was slightly orange in colour, this is due to the orange blossom used, the bottle appears as two different substances - separated ( a bit like some bubble bath you can get with two different colours in one bottle) The product cost £13.50 although you could probably get it cheaper else where e.g. airport.
I took this product home and used it twice daily. You need to shake the bottle and then apply using cotton wool avoiding the eye ...

Advantages: IAn all-in-one product, not messy Disadvantages: unsure of how much to use, feels like jelly,
I don't usually go in for expensive products - I just can't afford them and have managed to get by for years on baby lotion or baby wipes for cleansing my skin. My theory was that if it's good enough for baby's bottom then it's good enough for me. However, my son and his girlfriend bought me a box of 'Clarins' skincare products for my birthday, and the one step facial cleanser was one of the products.
I didn't enjoy using the product at all. It ... ...of the smoothing on of a sumptuous product that would leave my skin silky soft. I felt in fact, as though I were scrubbing a sink. I was unsure of how much to use, so I did use a fair amount. When I dried my face, I still had 'panda' eyes and my skin felt dry afterwards.
It didn't feel expensive and 'special' - thumbs down for this one. ...

Advantages: Lovely to use & very effective Disadvantages: Wish it was cheaper
Thought I'd review this having read the problems the other reviewer had with it. Now, I don't wear make up as often as she does, but when I have it's come off beautifully with this.
The cleanser needs shaking to mix the parts together, I quite enjoy this (a bit like orangina!), & then you douse a cotton wool pad with it. When you first put it on the "ugh! It's oily!" reaction is to be expected, and it did make me falter for a moment. & when the ... ...have repeat the process. But when I did the second pad came back clean - this stuff really does seem to get it all off first go. And the oil left on your face? WIthin a minute or two it's gone; don't panic, just let it sit for a minute & when you next touch your face it's dry & really smooth. The oil must get absorbed, but I have combination skin & have had no problems or increase in oiliness. In fact I probably have less, as this stuff is so easy ...

Advantages: No need for 2 seperate products Disadvantages: Left skin oily
Clarinsonestepfacialcleanser is a two in one product it cleanses and tones all in one go no need for 2 seperate products.
The product has a quite resonable price of around 13 pounds which considering you dont need to use a toner aswell is very good.
I found this product removes make up well although it does leave your skin looking and feeling greasy. I would say you would probably need two soaked cotton pads to remove the days make up completely.
You need to shake thos product before use as it is seperated into 2 parts where it is quite oily.
Although this product left my skin looking a little greasy i really like this product and would buy again i think it is especially good for usuing on holiday as it saves packing space! ...
