There comes a time in life when you realise that no matter what you do, the wrinkles are going to catch up with you in the end! Time, the elements, environment, health and hormones are all working against our complexions but I’ve become more philosophical about this fact and no longer pass out with the horror of discovering another new ‘line’.
This doesn’t mean that I’ve given up looking after my skin. Although I don’t spend a lot of time giving it special treatments, I have used moisturiser consistently and lavishly from a very young age – to the extent of resorting to butter and breastmilk in times of desperation, but I won’t go into that now.

I tried a sample several years’ ago and loved it, but was put off by the price. I’ve decided now that you get what you pay for and Clarins is definitely good value for money.
I use the Multi-Active Day Cream for Dry Skin. There is another cream for all skin types and you need to make sure you get the right one because the pots look the same. It comes in a small glass pot and I like this because you can scoop out the exact amount you want to use and there is none wasted at the end because it’s got stuck in the corner of a tube. It is perfumed, but in a light and pleasant way and spreads very easily over the skin. A little goes a long way and I find one 50ml pot will last nearly 3 months, using it on my face and neck.
The most important thing about the cream for me is that it makes my skin feel comfortable and this feeling doesn’t wear off during the day.

Clarins produce a whole range of skin products for all sorts of possibilities and occasions. Apparently this particular moisturiser is most suitable for women in their 30’s, so while I’m very happy with it, maybe I should consider using something for a more mature skin.
Cost
Now this is interesting. My local department store and the Clarins website sell it for approximately £34.25. If you search further online you will see some sites selling it at prices up to £47! The pot I’m using was bought on a cross channel ferry for £28 and this is a good way to buy your Clarins products if you are able. Clarins often do special offers so it would be a good idea to register with them online so they can keep you informed. Their website address is: uk.clarins.com

I have been using Clarins Multi Active Day Cream for the past 4 years & find that it is a great day cream for all year round.
The cream comes in a white & red jar which is typical of the Clarins 'design'. The picture above shows the 'old style' jar which has now been replaced by one a slightly different shape.
I use the one for 'all skin types', but it is also available for Dry Skin. A 30ml jar lasts me approx 4 months. The only thing wrong with ... ...for a sample from the Clarins counter before you buy.
The product makes my skin feel supple but not greasy, just balanced.It is a good base for applying make up or it can be used on it's own. It also contains a SPF.
I would recommend it for people who have combination skin. Those who tend to have dry skin in the winter could change to the one for very dry skin at that time of year. ...

Clarins- Multi-Active Jour, Multi Active Day Cream. I bought this on special offer in Debenhams for £15 for 20ml tube. I thought I would treat myself to a different day cream than my usual Elemis one. My mum recommended the Clarins. The Packaging is fairly distinctive, a white tall box with red writing on. This is trade mark Clarins. The product labelling on the box ias predominantly in French, with translations in German and English. This particular ... ...types. There is a cream for dry skin too. I am a little wary of expensive skin products as I have used cheaper alternatives which are nice, but htis is definitely a cut above my other creams. On the box it claims be bio/hydro thermal/Tensio and Photo regulating.
