    Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't offer protection from the sun's rays, but the range has versions that do.

    There comes a time in life when you realise that no matter what you do, the wrinkles are going to catch up with you in the end! Time, the elements, environment, health and hormones are all working against our complexions but I’ve become more philosophical about this fact and no longer pass out with the horror of discovering another new ‘line’. This doesn’t mean that I’ve given up looking after my skin.     Looking in the mirror one morning I knew it was time to admit defeat and face the truth...I was approaching 30; I needed to treat my skin to more than a daily facial scrub and a splattering of Nivia all purpose moisturiser to stop the premature wrinkling my mother had all so often warned me about.     I have been using Clarins Multi Active Day Cream for the past 4 years & find that it is a great day cream for all year round. The cream comes in a white & red jar which is typical of the Clarins 'design'. The picture above shows the 'old style' jar which has now been replaced by one a slightly different shape. I use the one for 'all skin types', but it is also available for Dry Skin. A 30ml jar lasts me approx 4 months. The only thing wrong with the design of the jar is the fact that you have to stick your fingers in the jar to get the product out. If you have long nails the cream goes under ... more

    Clarins- Multi-Active Jour, Multi Active Day Cream. I bought this on special offer in Debenhams for £15 for 20ml tube. I thought I would treat myself to a different day cream than my usual Elemis one. My mum recommended the Clarins. The Packaging is fairly distinctive, a white tall box with red writing on. This is trade mark Clarins. The product labelling on the box ias predominantly in French, with translations in German and English. This particular cream has "protection plus" and is suitable for all skin types. There is a cream for dry skin too. I am a little wary of expensive skin products ... more
