I have fairly pale skin. When I go out in the sun, my freckles come out and I tend to burn not tan. For this reason I hate going on holiday without first applying a fake tan.
I first tried this as it was given to me as a free trial sample when I bought some other products. I am so glad I did try it out, and it has since become a key component in my makeup kit.The product costs approximately £22 and comes in a 50ml pump action bottle. I do think it is quite expensive, but having said that, one bottle has lasted me 3 months so far and theres still lots left!
You don't need much product; I use about 1 pumps worth for each side of the face and anothers pumps worth for the forehead. It doubles as a moisturiser too and rubs in very easily using sweeping strokes. It dries in in about 15 minutes after which you can apply makeup etc. It starts to develop after about 2 or 3 hours.Depending on your natural skin tone, you can use the product as often as required. personally I reapply about once every 2 to 3 days. However, if you have darker skin, it could be used daily and in place of a regular moisturiser.
I have never had any streaks or problems with colour around the hairline with this product. It is very natural as well so blending into your neckline as you would a foundation is fine; there is no orange face line! The smell is pleasant and not overpowering like so many self tanning products- apparently it contains kiwi fruit- although I dont think this is what it smells of.
One last thing, as with any tanning product, make sure you wash your hands well after applying it or you will end up with orange finger nails- not very attractive!

I tend to use St Tropez as I find that's the most long lasting and gives me the most natural tan but haven't ever tried the Clarins - maybe it's time to swap! Sarah x
