Advantages: Well, it looks lovely on my bathroom shelf ... Disadvantages: Wreaks like you wouldn't believe, doesn't lather well
...about placing my flashy new beauty products on their equally flashy shelves.
I wish I had kept this one on the shelf .....
Introducing ClarinsRelaxBath & Shower Concentrate. To you and I that basically equates to "showergel". It looks very classy, and even quite expensive. It is contained in a see through plastic bottle, oval in shape with a chunky white flip open top -embossed in gold lettering Clarins on the top. In white writing on the front it says "ClarinsRelaxBath & Shower Concentrate" adding "with aromatic plant extracts". The contents look as blue as the Mediterranean - a gorgeous shade which you can observe sloshing about through it's see through container.
I am impressed so far, it looks lovely on my shelf, and the white flip top lid is very practical - easy to open in the shower. I open it up and squeeze some on my...

Advantages: Long lasting smell, lathers well, relaxes! Disadvantages: Smells a little too strong!
...was so grateful I made her not 1 but 3 cups of tea that day!). Clarins is a French based company whose products are considered luxuorious and available worldwide. It was set up in 1954 as a beauty treatment centre in Paris but has since developed a huge range of beauty and skin care products.
The product she gave me was Clarins Bain aux Plantes Relax or to the uninitiated of us out there - bath & showergel! It came in the customary white Clarins box with the red emblazoned writing on it which I've always found a little plain for such luxurious products. Inside was a clear, plastic, oval shaped bottle with the customary white lid with gold edges. Again the design was fairly simple but I have to say it did look nice on my shower shelf! The showergel itself was a deep blue colour, rather like the sea which I suppose is to bring up all those...

Advantages: Leaves skin smooth, subtle scent, relaxs Disadvantages: Price... that all really
..., but not gloopy (is that a word?). As I type, I have put some on the back of my hand and it has a subtle orange scent.
Anyway, back to my road test on my birthday. After trying out my showergel (sorry, Clarins I can’t keep typing “Shower and Bath Concentrate”) and feeling suitably relaxed, I decided to try my prized balm. After patting myself dry (I’m told moisturiser goes further on slightly damp skin) I applied some. The balm was very soothing and pleasant to apply. It was easily absorbed into my skin and not at all greasy. Happy with the results, I slipped into bed and drifted off to sleep! I am not claiming this to be a cure for insomnia (which I sometimes have) but it did relax me and make me drift off. I thought this was a one off, but it has had the same effect since.
After using the Balm, my skin felt very soft and smooth and still...

Advantages: Lovely smell and it does helps you relax Disadvantages: A bit pricey
...I bought this product once (my came from Debenhams, altough it's available in Boots, Fenwick and Lloyds Pharmacy, plus beauty salons, of course) to try as my friend recommended it to me.
It smells lovely of herbs, especially, thyme, basil and mint, and whether it was the product or busy life, but I did sleep better after using it in a shower or bath. It's also recommended to be used after exercise and it does help to relieve muscle ache, especially when combined with ClarinsRelax Oil.
Like all Clarins products it contains natural ingredients including basil (good for nervous system), chamomile (anti-inflammatory & healing plant), orange (good antiseptic and used in aromatherapy), horse chestnut (great for tired legs and prevent varicose veins), thyme, mint (helps to relax), and geranium (soothing properties), St. John's Wort...

Advantages: The smell and the relaxing feeling Disadvantages: Price
...Of all the anti-stress bath and shower products I have used this is by far the best. Clarinsrelaxbath and shower concentrate relaxes and calms the body and soothes the mind.
The product produces a light foam which is rich in extracts of thyme, linden, hawthorn and St Johns Wort.It also contains aromatic oils icluding camomile, geranium and basil.
I mainly use Clarinsrelaxbath andshower concentrate after a stressful day at workor after exercise. It is particuly good after exercise as it helps to soothe aching muscles.
To use in the bath pour a capful of product under running water. Spread the foam over body and inhale deeply to benefit from the aromatic properties. To use in the shower pour a small amount on to a damp sponge and lather on to skin.
I use it in the bath ad shower but prefer to use it in the bath as you get to soak...
