I started using this cream because I had bought beauty flash balm and I wanted to see if Clarins did any other products that would work as well on my skin. I wanted a cream which would moisturize but not feel greasy at the same time and that would work as a good base for my make up too.

I started using this cream because I had bought beauty flash balm and I wanted to see if Clarins did any other products that would work as well on my skin. I wanted a cream which would moisturize but not feel greasy at the same time and that would work as a good base for my make up too.
I normally use face creams with SPF as I feel like I’m doing something good with my skin, and plus it helps protect it too, so that was a main specification for why I chose this cream, this one has SPF 15 and I think that it is the only face cream Clarins does with SPF in it.
What I like about this is that the bottle has a little pump dispenser which makes it non messy and seems quite glam too, so you feel like you are getting your money’s worth as the pump is gold and really quite cute. The actual bottle is cylindrical and not big and bulky so you can slip it into your make up case. I found that although it is quite expensive £26 for 50mls, but I find that you don’t need much and it feels more like an emulsion on the face. It sinks in very quickly and plumps out the skin which makes it easy for applying foundation as it spreads quite easily.
What I found a bit odd is that it gives my face a white tinge when I apply some on but it quickly disappears once it has sunk into the skin.
I really do like this cream, I bought it in duty free but there is not much of a price difference, it also lasts for a long time and I use it everyday. I would say that I started using it about a year ago and I’ve only just started using my second bottle of it now. I also like using Clarins products as I feel that they have a lot of natural ingredients contained in it and feels like it soothes my skin rather than irritates it. I have normal skin, but I have in the past had problems with brands such as Clinique because of the chemicals that are contained in their products.
Clarins products are available in every department stores and boots, they often have special offers, but I would recommend if you are not keen on paying this much to ask for a few samples in order for you to see what effect it has on the skin.
I would recommend this as a product because it really does feel that it hydrates my face for the whole day and helps to keep my make up on too, which is quite important.
Advantages: everything else Disadvantages: Very pricey
I got this product in a travel pack on a plane and as I've found a little goes a long, long way. The lotion is easily absorbed and leaves the skin feeling really soft and smooth without the horrible greasiness that a lot of moisturisers leave behind. It leaves you skin feeling great all day and the fact that it contains a sunscreen is a very appealing factor.
However this is not a cheap moisturiser at around £20 for 50ml.I absolutely adore this ...

...skin. The Clarins product is light on the skin and works very well in protecting the skin against sun damamge. It is really good for wearing underneath makeup and is excellent for protecting the face in both air-conditioned offices and outside. Even my husband has been known to use it if he forgets sunscreen on holiday!
This product goes a long way and is good value for money! ...

Advantages: light and comfortable Disadvantages: can flake away if you put on too much
...bad!
I find that this Clarins lotion is far lighter and easier to apply than other SPFs, which I sometimes find are too thick. Another good point is that Clarins SPF15 Hydration, light and liquid, penetrates the skin really fast ( so that you are better using less of it; if you put too much on, it may "crumble" or flake away-as the lotion is white, this tends to show. )
My skin then feels really comfortable and hydrated for the day. Strangely, ... ...that high compared to other Clarins stuff. I usually buy it in Superdrug at £25.00, but used to find at a chemists in Ealing Broadway for around £20.00. ( Some small chemists often have reductions on beauty products, it's worth having a look around )
The container lasts me a long time, a few months or more.
Finally, the packaging has evolved in the last few years to become more matter of fact and practical. From a kind of glass jar, it has progressed ...
