CLARINS SELF TANNING INSTANT SPRAY – OIL FREE

At this time of year most of us are looking pale and pasty from the lack of sun. You will look much healthier and better looking with a tan, so why not fake one? Although I have bought some disastrous fake tans in the past, I have found one that is fantastic. One of the reasons why I didn’t use the stuff a lot in the past was the hassle of putting fake tan on, I mean who has time these days to sit around for two hours wearing next to nothing waiting for the tan to sink in?

I recently looked on pharmacy2u.co.uk to have a look at their current special offers. They do quite a lot of clarins products at discount prices so I decided to take a look at what I could treat myself with. I couldn’t help but notice that they had fake tans for offer so I decided to buy the self tanning spray for the body and a cream for the face (in a future opinion). It wasn’t cheap for around £27.50, but who cares? It’s about time I spent some money on myself for a change.

When it arrived perfectly packaged in its little orange box, I was delighted. It looked as expensive as it cost. The actual bottle is orange in colour as well with a brown, white, gold and yellow sun that made it look very nice and summery. The bottle came with a little leaflet and after searching through a few different languages came the English instructions. I think that the instructions could have been a little more detailed, but it mainly said just spray on and you can get dressed straight away.

After having a shower, shaving and exfoliating, I moisturised my legs (best advice for having a streak-free tan). All you have to do to apply the product is to spray it onto the desired area, smooth over with your hands and that it! No waiting around, just spray and go. It was so quickly over with I couldn’t believe it.

After two hours, the tan came out. It isn’t a mahogany tan, but it isn’t too light either, so it looks like you have spent a good day or two in the sun but without the redness. You can build the colour up by reapplying every few days or so until the desired shade is achieved. As for streaks? I only had one little streak on my arm where I hadn’t smoothed it over with my hand afterwards properly but it was hardly noticeable and I did not have another streak elsewhere on me.

What I was very impressed with was that it wasn’t an orangey brown colour. In the past I have had some orangey fake tans that make me look as if I have been tangoed! It is a natural looking tan that I was very pleased with.

You can buy Clarins Bronzer from many places including boots and pharmacy2u. If you buy it off pharmacy2u, it is a lot cheaper than boots and this applies with a lot of products that the two sites offer.

There was no particular smell on this product, just a light refreshing smell that could not be smelt after I had sprayed it onto my skin for very long. This was good as some bronzers smell like a chemical factory!

The advantages of this product are that it is easy to apply, quick to dry, develops into a nice even tan and comes in attractive packaging so it will look nice on your dressing table.

The disadvantages of this product are that it is quite expensive and sometimes it stings a little, especially if you have just shaved your legs! Otherwise this product is fantastic.

So for all you pasty people out there, there is a way, and the way is Clarins Self Tanning Instant spray. It will make you feel gorgeous in an instant!

:-) Sarah

Sounds really good. I've heard a lot of good things about this fake tan, but I bought the Lancome air-brush new one today, so will get the Clarins one next time. Claire x x

Great op. If ever I'm feeling flush I may just be tempted to buy some of this instead of my cheapie Body Shop fake tan.
